I have Droid 1 and my wife is being sent an Incredible to replace her PoS eris. I am thinking about swapping phones with her but I am unsure if it is really worth it. Does anyone have a idea of how these two phones compare performance wise? I know the Inc has a beefier proc but the Droid is running stock Android, while the Inc has sense.

My older brother bought his Droid at the beginning of March, at the end of april when I bought my incredible and he got to use it he said he loves his droid but would rather have waited to get the incredible.i think it performs a lot better. He is waiting until he gets asurion is swapping out the droid for the incredible so that he can report his phone list and get the incredible.

Just go with the Motorola Droid. Many of us Inc users no longer use Sense anyway, as LauncherPro is a fantastic alternative (which you can also use on the Moto Droid). Therefore, functionality-wise the phones have the potential to be nearly identical, especially since both will utilize Froyo (2.2) at some point in the near future. Personally, the battery life is a significant feature, and the Moto Droid is far superior in this respect. Performance-wise, the Inc is better, so it ultimately comes down to which features are most important to you, such as whether you'd prefer a hardware keyboard, a faster processor, etc.

My wife has the Moto Droid. She was due for a NE2 upgrade right after it was released so she's had it almost since release. My NE2 wasn't until May, so I got the Incredible.

My wife would have a hard time getting me to swap with her. Don't get me wrong - the original Droid is a great phone, but the Incredible is a much better phone.
