gotcha... :)

im gonna try chevy's ulv 1.2 to see if there is any difference in battery life. i have been using my ole stand by p3droids lv 1.2 designed for this rom. it works great on ss4.6 but not so much on this one.
for my phone anyway.
I've tried a few different kernels out there, but, overall, Chevy's kernels seemed to work best for me. I'm running LFY 1.4 with chevy's ulv 1.2 right now. Smooth sailing so far.

p3droids always been the best kernal for my phone, in both performance and battery life. i really like this rom though so im gonna try kernals till i get it right;)

do you use setcpu to govern the kernals or let the new kernals adjust themselves?
The question wasn't directed at me, apologies for "butting in", but I personally always use SetCPU. I set it to max-speed on demand, and then have a few profiles to scale down when screen is off or if either battery goes low or CPU temp goes high. I am actually about to try out 2 of the kernels GLD had linked.

i normally use set setcpu as well. but the new govenror puzzles me. it seems it may not need setcpu.

You need SetCPU with this ROM. With the slayher kernels, there's a new "interactive" mode setting in SetCPU. That's what I'm using and it's great.
Thanks! I've just tested the LV 1.2 with interactive mode and it seems to be a bit faster overall than Chevy's 1.2 (quadrant score is ~100 higher, right after rebooting both). Have to evaluate battery life and temperature more though, but looking like a great alternative

Yeah, it's been REALLY great for me so far -- cool, snappy and rock stable!

wow! i just got my highest quadrant score with a 1.2 kernal, 1767 in performance and without killing any apps! i had gotten 1778 before but i was using chevy's 1.25. i hope the battery life is as impressive. i almost downloaded the 1.1 kernal because the minimum setting was a little lower. how big will the difference be between 250mhz and 300?

I have my min set to 400 anyway, because I hate a slow wakeup.

maybe its me...i did a full data/cache wipe...i installed one of the custom themes, im liking it so far but earlier today i noticed when i was on a call and pushed home to do some multitasking there was no longer an option on the notification bar to manage my call...even when repushing the "phone" button it only brought up the dial pad and contact list....maybe im missing something...

ps- great job with the forums ive been reading since i bought my droid just registered today

Just thought I'd post a few additional screen shots. I love the theme choices and he's an idea of what they look like up against the same background with some custom Launcher Pro setups :D

it's getting really late for me and I can not look through any more forum pages. I'm assuming those text icons are for LauncherPro? Can someone please direct me to them b/c I can not find them for the life of me. That and a red themed Swype keyboard and I'd be set but all the links I find for those are broken too. I give (until tomorrow at least).

One thing that has been annoying me since frf84 is that 70% of the time i touch the home button it takes the widgets like 10 seconds to reload and 10 seconds before you can swipe to a new page see http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid/147226-2-2-slow-icon-refresh.html. People said frf22 or whatever its called would help this, it didn't... MY request is that you fix this, pretty please.

Here's a thought...

The black bar mod you are running basically isn't the same as the other themes in terms of function. Launcher Pro is not a system app in the stock build of this ROM but when you apply a theme, LP is moved to the system directory. What this does it that LP gets memory allocated at a higher priority.

Try this...make a nandroid backup, run the Smoked theme and see if LP is faster at redrawing those icons. This ROM is BY FAR the fastest in terms of redraws that I have ever used. Flipping the phone into landscape is almost seemless. LP in the system dir is not the only cause for this...but I believe it helps.
