This patch installs the stock keyboard back into place in your system/app directory overwriting the Droid 2 keyboard. The D2 keyboard is being removed because of the "alt lock" physical keyboard issue. If you decided you want to keep the D2 keyboard you can download it from XDA Here. This update should also prevent the Froyo OTA Update that everyone will probably be receiving very shortly if you haven't already. This will also allow you to see Adobe Flash Player once it becomes available in the market in the next couple of days. Let me know if you have any issues with this patch but all should be well once you apply and thanks again to all of you for using our ROM it means the world to us and enjoy the one and only LFY :)

Download LFYv1.41

its not letting me install it. im on clockworkmod recovery and it keeps saying it's bad! what do i do? :(

I just installed this patch without issue. Are you running the 1.4 ROM?

If so, just place this file on your sd card and select "install zip from sd card" once you boot into recovery. Select the 1.41 file and then confirm. Should install quick and easy.

Check out these new kernels by slayher: Froyo Kernels by slayher - CyanogenMod Forum.

Working great for me.

I can't thank you enough for finding this. I have been in disbelief that I my Droid has a "top speed", that I can't score but only so high in Quadrant and such, and how I can't seem to get 1.2GHz stable on my Droid since moving to Froyo with most ROMs. My highest bench was with LFY1.0 and jdlfg's 1.1GHz kernel and that was 1569. All I ever dreamed of was just making it to 1600 someday, as my Droid kept inching closer and closer. My wait, is officially over. And while the picture below was my highest bench, it was pretty consistently in 1600s.

This was running at 1.1GHz. I almost had 1.2 stable, but as soon as I went for a bench, my Droid threatened to self-destruct. lol My day is officially made. Thanks again! And thank you slayher, whereever you are!

I know what you mean -- I'm really happy with this slayher kernel, as well. I've run the 1.1Ghz LV kernels from ChevyNo1, P3Droid and now slayher on this ROM (v1.4) and I'm averaging Quadrant scores in excess of 100 higher on slayher than my average scores for Chevy or P3. And, forgetting the benchmark, my phone is running cooler, feels smoother and snappier and is rock stable. Amazing!

Downloaded and installed this ROM last night. All I can say is fast. Trying a few different kernals with it to see which gives me the best perfomance. The only issues I have seen so far are when using Dolphin and trying to watch a flash video. Phone locks, then reboots, weird...other issue is with the exchange security and having to put in the password or pin. Overall a great ROM. Keep up the good work liquid. Can't wait for 1.5.

UBR, did you wipe before installing the patch? Just curious to know if I can apply the patch without wiping..

how come everytime i download the 1.4 ROM, i cant open and view the files on my computer (it keeps saying invalid file) and when i try to install it on my phone with clockwork recovery, it keeps sayin the installation was aborted cuz the file was bad....my friend has liquid frozen yogurt and i want it really bad!! :(

It's possible the file got corrupted. Did you try downloading the v1.4 ROM file again?
