Ok I have read much of the hanbrake threads on here and didn't this question answered. I have a few blurays that I have ripped and the braked and they are coming in at 2.15gigs which of course is unplayable which is fing stupid if you asked me. So how do I trim just a bit from the movie? Is it just making the picture a bit smaller? Say from 800 wide to 750 or something?

While I don't have any blu ray players nor blu ray disks, but doesn't most or some come with a smaller 720p video with the 1080p version? If so couldn't you try converting/ripping the smaller 720p version?

Hey Spider check this out, I converted a 13GB movie down to under 2GB's using the info in the article below:

How to convert videos and transfer them to the HTC EVO 4G - Know Your Cell
My blurays seem to be about 16-32 gigs. Decreasing the picture from 800w to 750w actually marea buggy difference. Bitrate from 5500 to 4000 made very little difference.
There's many ways. I use Adobe Premiere or Final Cut, but most people dont have access to those programs. A quick google search found this:

Cool thanks.

Bitrate is the quality of the video. That, along with resolution, determines how good (or bad) the video will look. For a screen the size of the evo's, if you use h264 codec, you wont notice the difference between 2000 and 3000kbps. Now, if you are encodeing at 720p to play back through hdmi on a big screen tv, you may notice that difference, and I would put it to about 3500 for hdmi output.

If you retained chapter breaks when you ripped the BD, you can easily split the movie up in Handbrake.
