Accessories Custom Made Incredible Dock

Hey man.

Yes you are right, I am busy right now lol. And I think I will get stupid busy when the website goes live.

Let me see what I can come up with. I can probably just narrow the gap that the phone sits in and provide a through hole for the cable(I don't think it will be able to be mounted solid). Then create a backrest that molds around the phone. Of course this will probably all change when I have a little more time to think about it :) (for the better). Should be pretty easy though.

Put your name on the list and when I get to your name I will have something ready for you. :)

John
You know what, there's only been, what two of us asking for a vertical dock? Not having the cable mounted solid like on the horizontal dock, well, might not be ideal. So.....screw it! I'll put my name in for the current style. It kicks butt. Now I wish I would have put my name on the list way back in the day. :( Damn indecisiveness.

Okay, here's the first 80 people (which most likely equates to over 100 docks)!

Keep 'em coming!

I can't wait to get my hands on one (actually two) of my own . . .
I was definitely on board before & now I'm really digging the final design with the "android-like" backrest!

Regarding the vertical orientation . . . I think that most of us would like the OPTION to set the phone in the stand vertically . . . I personally like the idea of a deep enough slot to simply set the phone in, lean it against the backrest & manually plug in the cable from the side. This way, there's no need for any major modifications to the final design & everyone is pleased as punch!

n2airz, you should contact Google about possibly using the logos, as it seems like you'd collect even more interest than you already have. I say this because, there was another person on this forum selling Android decals/stickers. He was worried about the same thing with copyrights and trademarks but decided to try and reach out to Google. I have actually bought several Android stickers from this user (I cannot remember his username though, but he is in the Classifieds forum) and from following HIS thread, if I remember correctly, all he had to do was include a disclaimer within the packaging stating that he does not own any of the logos printed and that they belong to Google, or something to that effect. So I encourage you to contact Google and see where your boundaries are since they gave the decal/sticker guy the OK.

Great idea courtesy of woop. Know you are trying to get first shipments out but for future use think this would only help your endeavor if you can get permission from Google. Just my 2 cents though

Am I really one of the first to get their dock?! I came home from work today and found a lil package waiting for me. Who ever is waiting for theirs, I promise you won't be disappointed. It's even better in person.

The dock came in 4 pieces total (base, 2 legs, and the back support) easily assembled with the included tool. Very solid design but really light weight (in a good way). Just took a few adjustments to sit in how I liked and now she's charging away!

Thanks to n2airz!
