So Google quit selling the N1 a while back. *Sigh*, as my 2-year contract with a G1 is up next month and I was so looking forward to upgrading to the Nexus One. Two sets of microphones to cancel out background noise? Heck yes, that is smart. (are there other phones that have that?) So now I'm left looking around for a "next-best" phone. My G1 was a great introduction to Android, but by now it feels sluggish, I want something snappier. SO, all that to ask if the Nexus One is still available through any carrier in the U.S?

You can still buy the Nexus One from Google if you register as a developer. It costs $25 to register, and the phone is the standard $529; no subsidy. They sell the T-Mobile version only.

G2 does look pretty awesome. I'm not a fan of hard keyboards but it really looks like the nexus.

I hope when it's time for another phone i can find another one w/ color trackball notifications... i really have come to like the trackball. I tried to use a phone the other day w/o one and i just started getting pissed off.
