Prerequisites-
1. You have to be stock with no themes
2.If you have bootstrap recovery you need to either update it in the market or follow the directions later on to still get the update to pass
3.If you want to keep root then you must move su in /system/bin to xbin
How-to in adb
"adb shell"
"su"
"mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/mtd/mtdblock4 /system"
"mv /system/bin/su /system/xbin"

If you update your bootstrap recovery then put this file on your sdcard and install it
http://bit.ly/9FK8h1

If you don't have the updated version of bootstrap then you can either flash an sbf or delete the logwrapper

With an sbf
-Flash the sbf
-re-root with your method of choice, I used universal androot http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-droid-x/151214-app-universalandroot-1-click-root.html
-In adb run
"adb shell"
"su"
"mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/mtd/mtdblock4 /system"
"mv /system/bin/su /system/xbin"
-Then put the update.zip,at the bottom of this post, on your sdcard
-boot into recovery
-apply update.zip

Deleting the logwrapper
UNINSTALL the Recovery APK in Settings, Applications
Reboot
Run "adb shell"
Run "su"
Run "mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system"
Run "cp /system/bin/logwrapper.bin /system/bin/logwrapper"
Reboot

You can also do it with root explorer
Find logwrapper and delete it
Then find logwrapper.bin and rename it to logwrapper

Then you should be able to boot into recovery and install the update without flashing the sbf

update.zip
Rsd lite if anyone needs it

Don't get why he chose to make you register to download it. Just to increase the user count of the website? I mean, if people register just to download it but never had any inclination to do so in the past, they would just register, download it, and never touch the website again, leaving a dead user record on the forum. (Unless they needed to log on again for another download...)

It's kind of an ego stroke thing to do that, should have just released it via MegaUpload link or something so everybody could get it. If people wanted to register to say thanks or something afterward, they would have.

EDIT: Nevermind, just ate my words, he just posted it on Mediafire. :p
