Prompted to insert driver CD when connecting my phone ...installing pdanet ....

Yes I read the pdanet FAQ and downloaded the app that they said may take care of the problem... using vista 64 bit and android 2.1 OS

Seems to be a simple driver issue ...I just can't find one plz any help is needed

You don't need the drivers for PDANET. but if you want the drivers installed anyway, go to the LG ALLY Software update website and download their installer software. That will give you the drivers. You only need them if you want to connect to your phone's filesystem through your computer, say if you wanted to root or develop software. PDANET works fine without the drivers.

pdanet will not work with out the drivers unfortunately or should i say my phone will not connect to my computer and pdanet won't work if the prompt is ignored If not why did pdanet make a "b" version of there software just for this problem?

a link to the update site would be appreciated I've looked hard and can't find it.

LG Software Updater Application Download

a simple google search of "lg ally software update"

I tried pdanet on my windows7 64bit and my ally about a month ago and pdanet installed what it installed and up popped 5 lg ally modem driver requests and i said cancel or do not install on all of them because the driver could not be found. pdanet still worked perfectly. make sure usb debugging is on, as i'm sure you are. it could be a vista problem if that's what youre running.

Ive installed Pdanet on two computer (Desktop and laptop) which has win 7 32bit with no issues. But for some reason in Device Manager it couldnt find LG modem driver (cant remeber what it was exactly called.) That never effected me in any way though (i was still able to use adb, pdanet, easytether, mount sd card.)

Anyways i type this because at this link LG Community > LG Cell Phones File Library

Go to the DRIVERS section
Then go to ALLY DRIVERS and there are win xp and win 7 drivers.
