Is this phone getting the 2.2 update?

yes, samsung has announced september for the European version. Who knows how long it will take them and ATT to release it to us.

AT&T is simply amazing (I mean this quite sarcastically). A friend of mine works for AT&T and they just received their bargaining unit contract after some 18 months of negotiations with AT&T. As non-management, they have all their benefits PAID. Do you believe that? When the rest of us have to pay outrageous premiums these guys have a pay increase plus their benefits are all paid for.

I get a guaranteed pay increase every year, plus my benefits are paid for, and I don't work for AT&T or in the telecommunications industry. Don't be hating. Perhaps if we hadn't demonized unions in this country, more would have these kinds of benefits. But this is already verging on politics, which I'm guessing is frowned upon here. So I'll just leave it there.

Hey bro, I wasn't hating but in a second look at my post, I will definitely agree it was venting and not on topic for this thread. I re-edited my thread to say what I really wanted to say before my thoughts became clouded. "do the right thing", yes?

By the way, I was a former Secretary/Treasurer for my local back when the baby bells had their own unions. We were eventually absorbed by AT&T.
