In my country market can't see shareware app...

not clear on what you mean....sounds like you do not have Android Market.
However Sprite is a program that has been around for some time. There are millions of downloads ( from what i have been told ) Just do a google search for Sprite and find it that way....it is supposed to be a simple backup to your card. I do not know what else it does....Check it out. good luck

Hi Guys

I'm from the Sprite Mobile team. We can backup your calendar to your SD Card and will restore it if it isn't synced anywhere. For some reason restoring synced items to Android makes it unhappy and breaks the sync connection with Google. For that reason we backup, but don't currently restore synced calendars. If it's not synced, no problem, it will come back fine.

If you can't see us on the Android Market (we seem to appear and disappear at random for no reason) you can always buy directly from us at www.spritesoftware.com/products/android/backup.

Thanks

Gareth

Hi; do you back up just the calendar or everything...I had a program called BackupBuddy on my palm that backed up all my data and programs and settings to the card and then all i had to do was hit restore and everything went right back.
Do you back up everything? if not what do you backup....and what do i do if you cannot restore. I am confused as to the viability of Sprite...please advise...thank you

We work in the same way, you select what you want to backup, and then at restore time you select only the items you want to restore. Below is a quick summary of what we backup/restore.

  • Contacts
  • System Settings (see our product page for which ones)
  • SMS
  • Calendar
  • Call Logs
  • Bookmarks
  • MMS
  • Application Settings (see our product page for which ones)
  • Photos
  • Music (including playlists)
  • Video
We test the restore process on all the devices that are currently available, so you can be sure that your data will come back. The product page will give you more details.

Is this not compatible with the Samsung Epic?
Also, my calendar doesn't sync with Google because all my events are on the default calendar (I use Calendar pad & it puts everything in default Android calendar, but there can be more than one calendar in the app), not the one that seems to sync w/google. I tried Best Buy's m:iq and it didn't sync my calendar. Will yours?

This is because the backed up events have the same UID as the events which were online before which causes the conflicted situation.

So an easy fix (?) would be to add something to the UID of the backed up events so it doesn't conflict anymore. And no, deleting all events online won't help because it won't delete the history of added UID's.

Hello,

Can I use this program to backup my calender from my Samsung S3 to my SD card, and restore it to my new phone Note 3? If that's not possible any other way we can do it?
