Root Can't get 2.2 to install.. question on the apk's i removed.

I removed some of the APKs when i first rooted 2.1.. One example being Cityid. When i start the update to 2.1 it says that I failed because cityid is not there. I threw cityid on my sdcard and installed it, but still no luck. apparently its not in the folder still. I guess its like system/application/cityid.apk or something along those liines. I go into astro to try and copy and paste the apk to that folder and it wont allow me to.


Also, i have no idea how to transfer the su from the one folder to the other. I tried in astro as well and it wont allow me. I would like to keep root if possible, if not, im sure we will be able to root 2.2 in the near future.

Im new to this whole android thing, the X is my first one, im trying! i cant find my answer in any of the threads i keep reading.

Yeah i read that. I just wasnt sure what adb was. Is that on my phone or my pc? lol im sorry for sounding like this, i had a hard time rooting initially and had to do it all through this terminal manager thing.

I tried to download something on my pc, but it was just some driver or something. i didnt know how to make this program run.

Is it motedev studio i have to DL? i just downloaded some smal driver file.

Open it up and put the tools folder on you desktop and copy the address
Plug your phone into the computer and put it in pc mode w/ usb debuging on
open up a cmd and type where location is where you paste the address
"cd location"
"adb devices"

Also, what about the apk's i removed initially, once i move the SU with that error stop happening?

Ok downloaded, pulled that tools folder out to desktop.
Phone is connected in pc mode debugging is on.

When i try o run the sdk application to install it it says

sadly we kinda have to start over because of that whole city id thing
you can't flash froyo right?

I removed a few of the apks initially. I cant remember which ones. I know cityID for sure plus its giving me that error.

i replaced that file in the program files/motorola rsd with the new one file.
