battery or phone?

Alright, I'll try that until the 11th or 12th day. If not, I'm gonna swap it.

Unrelated question, when 2.2 comes out- anyone think that the lag will be officially addressed? I LOVE LOVE LOVE this phone. I want to keep it. It just has a few quirks.

You could just have a bad battery, you can go in the store and tell them to replace it. And then fully charge it up for 6 hours.

I notice that if I charge my phone to lets say, 90% it dies within 3-4 hours of use. But if I let it charge for 4-5 hours, it gets me by the day for the most part.

Also I think charging via USB is slower, takes a long time to fully charge.

I just got these phones 3 days ago, and I love them.

2.2 is going to kick some serious butt. It will speed up the phone like crazy, trust me. CANT WAIT.

Dont try the leaks, wait for official!

black.png as backround (google images) will save you 25% battery overall.

and charge your phone 1-2 hours more even after it says "FULLY CHARGED"

I got wicked 15-20 hour battery from charging over night (8-9 hours)

And thats playing internet radio streaming for 8 hours and browsing/texting/gaming for the remainder.

Phone stops charging when it says its full. It automatically shuts off the charger so what your saying isnt going to help. I charge mine over night every night and i get the same battery life....which isnt that great.

Spoke to Samsung, they told me to call T-Mobile. Just got off the phone with a sweet girl who is sending me a new battery free of charge with free shipping. According to her, there is not a documented problem with the majority of the Vibrant batteries. She claims that she knows about the GPS issues (I didn't even bring it up, she said she has the MyTouch slide but her BF has the Vibrant.) and that Samsung already pushed the update to T-Mobile and T-Mo is just waiting to push it to customers. She was very knowledgeable about Android.

My battery is also running at about 80-90 degrees so I'm glad I'm getting a new one.

I know what melll is talking about. If I unplug my phone as soon as it says the battery is full, it immediately drops to 96-97%. It seems like the battery drops faster during the day too. If I let it charge overnight, say for 6-8 hours, the battery usually stays at 100% for 30-60 minutes before it drops and the battery seems to lose it's charge slower during the whole day. If I had to guess I'd say when the phone says it's at 100% it starts trickle charging the battery and gives the battery a better charge. This is a total theory/guess though.

Yeah exactly. Theres a thread somewhere about the battery draining too fast.
Basicly people are saying, the longer you charge it, the longer it should last.

Do Factory Reset, you have already nothing to lose (you will reinstall every app quickly, and will not lose any photos or music, do not worry). After fact.resetting do not install anything and see what's going on with your battery. If the phone is not used, the battery should go down with the rate approximately 10% per day.
