Root Turning off USB connected notification?

Does anybody know how to turn off the popup USB connected notification on froyo? It can be kind of annoying and seems like somebody should be able to do this. I am running CM6RC3 and can't seem to find an option for it there, but then again there are so many options that it could easily be hiding.

Wrong forum or not, I'm answering your question. I don't know how to turn off that huge whole screen thing, other than hitting the back key once you're connected. That said, there's an app, a couple of bucks on the Market (money WELL worth it in my opinion, because this is one of my favorite apps) called Dual Mount SD widget (it shows up as SD share on the widget list). When you touch the widget, it mounts the SD card for you without the huge popup you hate, AND allows you access to all the contents of your SD card on your phone at the same time as your computer. So, for instance, you can listen to music on the SD card while you move files to and from your computer.

The Dual Mount SD widget is on my apps highly recommended list.

I had a similar app/widget on 2.1 that I think was from the desire. Does this stop the popup from happening at all? I don't really mind the popup too much, but somebody asked me about it, and I was surprised that I hadn't seen the option before.

You can disable it by turning on USB Debugging. If you have a source-built ROM (CyanogenMod, Sapphire...) you probably have an option to get rid of that rather useless extra icon in the status bar that you get from enabling USB Debugging.

I couldn't find a specific option, but I turned on debugging and turned off the debugging notification and I only get the USB icon in the status bar, no popup. Thanks, I knew there had to be a straightforward way of doing this.
