TMZ App in Canada

Newish Android user here.

TMZ has an app that I can see with AppBrain and flag for install, but when it comes to the the Android Market here in Canada, nothing comes up. Does the Android market block apps based on region?

I'm not hung up on the TMZ app in particular, just wondering why it's not available.

Yes same for me.
I suspect it has been built for a firmware newer then what is on our phones. Of course I have no Idea of what you all have but for me x10i with 1.6 I come across this a lot. Developers will flag the apps for a specific version of firmware and in so doing block older versions that may prove to not be able to run the apps. Its been true, as I said, for my x10 and may be the same reason for you all. What firmware or os are you all running?
Just putting it out there is all.

I have the galaxy S with android 2.1 update1. It's funny cause I can download Directv which is strickly American.
