Accessories Video Review of the TETRAX XWAY and FIX Mount

I have an old Jeep, needlesstosay it is a veeerrry rough ride. Would this thing fall off all the time when I hit potholes or am offroad...?

It's hard to say. For everyday driving and a few small pot holes, it holds up better than expected. I would say that it will hold better than a suction cup mounted to a window. Suction cups are unreliable IMHO and I trust this for the way I drive.

Get it, you will not be disappointed.

I just got this today and put it together, it holds up really well! It's just as everyone has said so far.

Although, I just wanted to point out one more thing that I didn't think about when I ordered it. Once you stick the disc to the back of your phone, it makes it so that the phone doesn't sit flat on a table anymore. So it kinda goes back and forth when you're trying to do something with the phone while it's on the table (for example, play 4 person reactor with friends!). It's not really a problem, just more of an annoyance. I just wanted to put that out there for anyone considering this. I would still highly recommend this for anyone who wants a simple mount for their phone!

If anyone ordered straight from the tetrax site, how long did it take to have yours delivered? Which carrier do they use? Did you also get a tracking number? I ordered mine last Saturday with standard shipping but I have yet to receive a shipping notice.

It was about 5-7 days. It comes USPS.

Ordered an Xway tonight. I've been looking and thinking about which route I wanted to go for mounting this in car. I didn't want to "tape" anything to my dash like the M2 requires. The closest other option I found was proclip as they have a nice setup, but oddly I could only get the car mount kit I wanted from their UK site, this particular one wasn't listed on the NA site for whatever reason. Needless to say, that added even more money to the already more expensive option. I finally figured I'd go with the Xway, as it's not limited to one car or one phone for future use, it virtually leaves nothing behind (I had a feeling the proclip would scratch the dash a bit), and it's the cheaper option. My only concern was how good the magnets hold the phone, but seems like that's a non-issue. Can't wait to finally have a proper mounting point for my phone in the car!

Edit: And almost forgot, thanks for the review!! ;)

I tried to order direct from them but it never even asked me for a credit card. When I emailed them no one responded.....

Odd. I just ordered the FIXWAY and had no issues. I actually emailed them to ask a question and they responded within an hour.....

Here is the address I used.

I guess I will try again. There aren't many places you can order the FIX and direct from them was cheaper.

Yes.

I know that it is a Italian company just getting started here in the US, I have spoke with them a few weeks ago in regards to the new FIXWAY and he indicated they are getting allot of orders.

Are there any issues with putting your phone right infront of the AC/Heater vents?
just doesnt sound like a good thing....

thanx

I mentioned earlier I was a little concerned, more with heat than anything. I would certainly not go on a long trip with it on high. However some cars you can turn off individual vents.
