Help Evo gets a flashlight app, why dont we?

One of my friends got an Evo recently and let me check it out. Im very glad my incredible is the size its, because the evo is truely too big. I was a little upset to find that he gets an LED flashlight app stock with the phone. Both the Evo and Inc are made by HTC and have Sense UI, why the heck dont we get one?

WE DO, it comes with Froyo when we get it, until then root it and install incredilight.

Wow. Thats really depressing lol. I keep hearing all these bogus rumors about 2.2 so that really doesnt help. Its one of those things I just tune out now. I thought about that when I made the post, so now I for sure know.

or Root and install the EVO Flashlight APK file...Much better than Incredilight.

I would probably get a better idea by reading the rooting sections, but how easy is it to root the phone. How easy is it to revert back to stock if I ever needed. I get a little worried when it comes to warranty and insurance stuff on such an expensive phone.

Rooting is pretty much as simple as can be now days using unrEvoked's method. You can find a lot of info out around the forums on how exactly to do it.

Reverting back is possible but a lot more effort, but again you can find alot of information about how to do it in the root forums.

yea if rooted you will have it after getting a rom with it

I'm running the latest Skyraider rom and it has it. Very sweet app

If you root, then you might as well get skyraider (if you like sense). Incredilight is brighter than the htc flashlight though.
