no, trackball is white. in froyo roms, you can configure the trackball to be your notification light (well, it's working for some anyways) but it will always be white regardless.

It's not possible to change the color of the trackball, rooted or not. It's not a software problem, it's hardware. The LED behind the ball is white and there are no other colors available... unless you crack your phone open and install it yourself.
