Ok, so I know better than to install these leaks as they are buggy, but I've never had one brick my phone like this.
I was listening to the music player and now can't get the program to shut down. It won't force close, I shut it down and pulled the battery, when it re-boots it comes on again and the whole system goes fubar. I can't make calls or anything.
Anybody else with this issue? Any thoughts, advice?

Uh oh... This reaffirms my feelings fully of why I won't do the leak. I have no idea how to get out of that. Are you rooted? Call verizon if nothing works and claim it being faulty on warranty if you have no other choice.

ugggg.

This is the reason NO ONE should unofficially update their phone.

IMHPO - the users do not deserve to contact verizon and deal with making a mess with their $600 phone/paper weight.

And you wonder why there is a C&D order out because people are doing exactly this when the phone got jacked up with unofficial updates?

I tried to stay away from Froyo as long as I could when the leak came out (I lasted about an hour..). It still has bugs to be worked out for sure, but then again the current version of 2.1 has plenty of bugs too.

Things I've noticed:

1) The aforementioned media player problem, it's only happened once so far.

2) Wi-fi seems kind of spotty when you have "switch to mobile data" set to 'never' in your wi-fi settings.

3) Battery usage force closes sometimes.

Other than that, everything is much faster/smoother, the stuff I mentioned isn't really a show stopper so I'm glad I did the upgrade.
