...I hope, anyway. Last week I got my 3rd captivate. Everything seems to be working nicely out of the box.
first one had a problem where the home button went nuts every now and then...drove me craaazy. Funny thing, though...the gps was great on it worked every time. just not inside, so...Checked on here, seems others had gotten new ones and the problem was gone. So I exchanged it...
second one worked mostly fine, but the gps wasnt working and i wanted it to work...none of the "fixes" on any forums worked, so i figured since I was in my 30 day window, why not try for a 3rd one...
well, the third one has treated me well (thus far, anyhow) everything works smoothly, and my battery life is beyond awesome, and the gps will lock in under a minute while indoors. But this makes me wonder if the gps is really a software issue....I've had 2 out of 3 phones that worked swimmingly, and 1 that didn't. I would think that if it's a software issue, it would be affecting all phones the same, and hardware issues would cause more random problems like these that are being reported...
now it's time to figure out android. coming from a 3gs this OS takes a bit of time to get used to. I can already tell I like it more than the damn iphone, though. My apologies in advance if I pester the more learned ones with seemingly dumb questions
