love this rom bro! just have 1 quick question, tried that" rule the air" theme over on xda and it looks awesome except for theres a little ear icon for the battery, i read a few pages back someone else said something of the sort for another circular battery. Is there a way to fix that or is it just fubar'd cause of the evo framework. hope i can get that to work on B6.

Do you recommend the new King kernel, your new kernel, or the stock with b6? Also, if you are using your new kernel or the King Kernel, do you recommend setCPU, or just let the built in governor do its thing?

I use my kernel, because I am not seeing an advantage overclocking.

I also use setcpu, because I like to underclock while the screen is off.

How do you have your profile setup for this in SetCPU? Didn't know SetCPU had this setting. Would love to try this out and see how much of a difference battery life I get.

Open setcpu,

Go to profiles tab.

Enable them.

Tap add profile.

Choose the event/occasion and speeds you want, as well as governor.

Then, set priority. 100 makes it a sure thing that it will happen over other events.

I set my screen off to 384/245. Saves a TON of life.

Then once you do this, go back to themain setcpu screen and disable perflock. Hit menu for the option.

one thing that heavily attracts me to cm6 is the support of the two.

first time ever I did not wipe before flashing. lol.

only thing i had to do was put back my boot animation. any reason why this needs to be over written by the rom? not that i don't love the "droid" lol i just need a quiet boot.

Lol. I actually ended up wiping just now as market is giving me issues. it was doing it before i flashed so its not the rom. hopefully this fixes it though.

I cannot get the wired tether to work. I got to the part where it said unsupported kernel I ignored it and pressed to start tethering and It opend a new device on my computer that it doesn't recognize

edit: I got it to work using htc sync, but this stops me from mounting my sd card while tethering. going back to pdanet for now

This might be a stupid question but I'm a noob at this. I just applied a theme, and changed some icons, wallpaper, etc... if I do this update to 6 is it gonna erase all that?

So is michaelnf's (sp) version absolutely DEVOID of Sense, as in no Sense framework AT ALL?

I ask because a friend told me that, even if you're just running Launcher Pro, the fact that Sense framework is still there means the phone isn't running as fast as it could. Is that true?

I'm running Franken B2 right now with ALMOST no problems.

One thing I was wondering is do certain ROMS have a greater ability for reception than others? I get great reception with this rom and the 2.15 radio but seems like on some other roms is isnt as great. I always thought it was just the radio that would affect that but maybe not.

Is anyone else having a problem downloading B6? Mine gets to like 78% & says its finished, I tried installing it & it says the zip is corrupted (I've dl'd it twice now with the same result)..can anyone post the full version?

One thing I was wondering is do certain ROMS have a greater ability for reception than others? I get great reception with this rom and the 2.15 radio but seems like on some other roms is isnt as great. I always thought it was just the radio that would affect that but maybe not.

I thought this too, until I looked to see what the actual DB value was and they were the same. It appears that the numbers used to determine how many bars are shown is what actually varies between ROMs.

As an example, CM6 R3 might show me just one bar, but B6 shows me 3 or 4 bars, both while having a signal strength of about -90db.

Finally have my phone and this forum in the same place at the same time, and can relate the FC I've been getting since installing b5. This happens on every boot, and sporadically (haven't determined the trigger yet) otherwise:
Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly.

Might be due to my lack of wiping the cache. When I wiped I only did the factory wipe in clockwork... I didn't know about the cache wipe.

I'll do a cache wipe after installing b6 and hope my FC worries are behind me.
