For the record I like this one better. I had weird issues with CM6 not the least of which was it never recognized my emmc. The thread was too long for me to follow all of it. I think they were working on a fix. Looking at the change log on Android they changed the stock music app to look beyond the sdcard for music. Too deep in too many different places for me to follow where all of those changes are but I cloned the source. Can't for the life of me figure out how to compile it. I can't seem to make Eclipse do what I want. I figure if I could get it to compile the stock music app would work and we wouldn't need the HTC one anymore. I imagine if they did it with the stock gallery we wouldn't have issues with the camera either. The one going around is from 7/11 a few days before the change was merged. Sounds all conspiracy theory and stuff doesn't it but from what I can tell it should work don't know if anyone else has managed to compile it. If I could have made it work I was going to put it in my vanilla script and try it out.

I sent an e-mail to Koush about it but haven't gotten a response. It was about like my posts here long and heavy in theories about things I barely understand so yeah don't blame him. For what it is worth though b6 with Sense and some other stuff stripped is working pretty well for me so far.

I like Sense fine but it's too heavy. If I get an extended battery I might go back to using Sense. I thought about just working out of the b6 to make my edits but I felt like I could get myself in trouble messing with iso images. The Vanilla script is good I think. That way instead of having a bunch of ROMS to sort through there is one rom and an optional upgrade to Senseless. Yeah I called it an upgrade.

Kind of OT but, has anyone running Riptide's theme noticed that the 1x4 htc calendar widget no longer works? I can't even place it on any of the home screens. I'm currently running b6 but it didn't work with b5 either. Not a ROM issue and not a big deal, just curious if others noticed.

Yeah, I noticed it too. Was sad, but went on with life. The real kicker is that when I upped to b6, and did not apply the theme I noticed the widget there, where I'd placed it in b5 with the theme. Every time I had tried to apply the widget, it was there... layered with the widgets that had worked. I ended up not saving the scene and creating a new one, rather than the hassle of trying to remove all the instances of the widget that had been hidden under the theme.

Yes it works, the only thing I have found that doesn't is the 1x4 HTC Calendar Widget doesn't show up.

CM6 is nice...but got some bugs...another vanilla one that's great is by IncredibleDoes....aside that, out of froyo sense/senseless ROMs this one is FANTASTIC!!!!

Like FrankenVanillabean. LOL. It does have a certain stability that others lack. When the official OTA goes out I will back up my back up of this on my computer cause with some of the tweaks I may end up liking this one better. I will probably run the Vanilla script on the OTA. LOL.

Is it possible to somehow speed up the operation of the camera app?

e.g. shutter lag, focus, save/delete last taken photo, etc.?

Or even to have the photo that's taken be BRIGHTER?

I ask because what I see on the screen is brighter than what's actually taken. Weird.

Still running B2, but not sure I want to run anything else. Just can't send MMS but can receive. I'm good for now.

Might run a true Vanilla to see how much faster it is.

In addition to not being able to mount phone storage when connected to my computer I noticed that my phone was also not notifying me that I had voicemails... checked this problem several times... imagine it has something to do with Sprint stuff in riptide theme.

If you've installed riptide you might want to call your voicemail to check... I had 4 days of voicemails built up by the time I caught it.

Switched to manups revolution just so everything works better...

i had similar problems with adw on cm6, just switched to launcherpro and it fixed it.

Yeah my Google voice number was fine too, but the theme customized the regular voicemail to the point that there was even a welcome message from Sprint, that's when I got suspicious. I really liked the theme too...

make sure your GPS is turned on?

menu -> settings -> location

then check at least Standalone GPS Services and Google Location Services (I think the VZW Location Services is only if you plan on paying for VZ Navigator which I'm not sure why anyone would do)

Your are right, I forgot about not being able to mount emmc as a drive (probably because I don't use it - I forget it's there). Believe it or not, I don't use phone much so I didn't notice the VM issue.

I have tried a few different solutions that I have found through some research and so far nothing has worked. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? (BTW, I've heard that doing this in some cases has improved battery life significantly.)

I found an odd glitch with the dialer. It won't allow me to start a call with * so PRL update kept failing. Finally figured out I could enter a random character, then use the erase button on the dialer app, then it will accept *228 etc. Maybe I'm the only one idk.

My dumbass saw the first post. I had once checked (a week or two ago) and recall it not being updated to reflect the latest beta, so I thought I'd have to sift through the latest posts to find a link to the current beta.

I'll play with B6 right now.

Am trying to set up a "script" with Tasker that backs up everything nightly (SMS, apps+sys data, LauncherPro settings) so I don't run into this issue (phone going nuts) again and have to worry about it.
