Help how to assign a pic to contact

Go to contacts> Tap on the contact>Tap on menu>Edit>Tap on the photo icon and select the photo from album or click a new one

Also experiencing the same question as the OP. Following Praveen's instructions, when I get to the 'Edit' page titled "Edit contacts", the only choice I have is to change their name and number. Their is no photo icon to click on or anything else other than name and number.

However, I have just discovered that this is only the case if you are using the contacts stored on the Sim card. If you copy the contacts across to the phone by clicking on the original contact > menu > copy to phone. Then return back to the Contacts and click on the contact which does not have the green & yellow sim card icon (the one you have saved to the phone memory), you can then proceed with Praveen's instructions which will then work.

Probably easiest if you create phone contact with the same name, then link to the same google contact. Should then be albe to add a pic.

I'm new to Android, but I have made all my contacts Google contacts now. Nothing's on the phone or SIM. Downloded a trial program to synch all my Outlook contacts from my previous Win-Mo device even. It's a pretty sweet set up let me tell you. Very easy to organize when you're in Gmail on the PC too. Once done it auto synchs your phone contacts. I love it. I've even started collecting pics off the Internet for things like restaurants and friends across the country. (Turns out Facebook shows you all sorts of personal photos and I don
