PingChat! FOR ANDROID! (BBM-ish app)

Hi Enfick,

Thanks for getting back to me.

One more question. Are widgets planned?

Also I don't know if its a bug but when I send when I receive a message and Pingchat is already active it doesn't show the ping in the list. Only in the notification bar. So to see it I have to bring it down, click on it which reloads PingChat. Not the end of the world but nice to be fixed.

I'm familiar with Google, thanks though. None of my questions were answered on the page for the actual app I'm talking about......

Here's a link

So, yeah

You sure about that? You asked 4 questions, two of them are answered on the link you posted (which also happens to be the first link Google comes up with in my reply).

From the link you posted:

Question 1:
So I can chat with my old BBM buddies using CrossTalk??!?!?!
That's right, your Blackberry friends are no longer out in the cold, message your BBM PINS from any of the other networks using CrossTalk
Question 2:
How much longer until it will be released??
CrossTalk should be available towards the end of August 2010 on the Android and Blackberry Market places.

I have a Droid X and I just downloaded ping chat last night. It won't let me link some of my contacts to the contacts in my phone in order to keep these people in my ping chat buddy list.

When I think I linked them and I tried to message them it told me "The conctact(s) you want to send message to contain(s) invalid ID(s). Message is not sent." So in my IM window I have to keep their messages open in order to message them and they don't recognize these users as ping chat users if I search for them.

Also, when I tried linking them I ended up getting 60+ linked contacts in their contact profiles but it never truly linked because I couldn't message them through my buddy list.

What is going on and how do I fix this?

I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and deleting the contacts and readding them.

Enflick: Is there a reason why PingChat is so CPU intensive? I haven't received a single message in the past day, but System Panel is reporting that in the past 8hrs PingChat has accounted for 5.0% of my total CPU usage at 24m6s of CPU time (by comparison, the next highest usage over the same period was system, which used 2.7%).

Since the system is push-based, this seems odd. Even adding up all the system-related processes and Gmail (which is also push-based) together I only get 3.7% CPU usage, and that would account for alot more than just Gmail itself (from which I have gotten quite a number of emails over the past 8 hours).
