Guess your right, I though I would have gotten a bounce back saying who the hell wouldn't buy it again or reccomend it.You just read and posted in it. I'm going to have to say "yes".

This isn't an iPhone we are talking about, it's the MF'n EVO!
Buddy, I was playing. Of course there will be people that don't like the device as with anything else in this world. There are also people who don't like porn, probably the same people who don't like EVOs.Well if you actually read the thread there have been reasons for some not to recommend it to just anybody.

Honestly, probably not. I've had many troubles with the phone (mostly related to the battery and camera), and after several phones / batteries (doing everything right, no task killers, not rooted, etc) I still have pretty lousy battery life.
In all honesty, my experience with the EVO has not been very reliable.
Maybe find a friend that can set it up better for you... sounds like your settings are the issue.
If you have to go to those lengths he's described THEN find someone that can set up your phone "better", there's probably not a problem with the user in that case.
I dont know about all that, but you would be surprised how far a few minor adjustments will go in regards to battery life.
The Evo's battery life sucks no matter how you slice it.
no problems with mine.
i would say, all new android phone users should get a 15 minute class on battery conservation tho

So I state a fact but you assume I'm riled up? Lol, I have real life responsibilities that can do that for me, not some post from someone on the internets.
Huh? Why? Just because the Incredible and Evo get terrible battery life doesn't mean all Android phones do. People should not have to resort to tricks to make it through the day on their Android Phone. iPhone users certainly don't need to.
True. If it were the iPhone you would not be reading the complaints about battery life and build quality.
I love my EVO, but I have read everything I could get my hands on about preserving battery life and am doing all of it. I still can't get 8 hours of life out of it. My son wants to know whether to get one and I told him to give me a little longer to figure out how to conquer the battery problem. He works in an environment where he will not be able to charge during the day. He really needs to get 12 full hours from his phone, and that's not happening with the EVO as far as I can tell so far.
