Forget about losing your car at the airport parking, shopping mall or outside the football stadium.

Car Finder AR is an augmented reality app that proyects the position of your car on top of the camera view of your mobile phone.

Use augmented reality view, Google Maps view or RADAR view to find your car.
Just park, open Car Finder AR, go to the menu and save your current position, that's it!

I tried the app (you spammer) and I actually like Car Locator better (you spammer). It has the map and the radar view on the same page and doesn't automatically exit if you don't have your GPS on. It also saves on bluetooth disconnect without need of a plugin and the author doesn't spam this forum. It also has a home page widget that you can simply click to save your location. This is an extremely handy tool that your program doesn't have. I'd rather press a button and have my location saved than have to launch an app, save my location inside the app and then exit the app. I press a home screen widget, it opens the app automatically, automatically saves my location, then exits. Beautifully easy to use.

Looks like you didn't take enough time analyzing Car Finder AR because it also has home page AutoSave widget. Look for it and write back!

Car Locator's bluetooth plugin... is also a plugin

And the best part... With Car Finder AR you can manage up to 3 cars and it is only $2.5

You're right about both points and I stand corrected on both. However, the author of Car Locator still doesn't spam these forums. Also, I don't think most people have the need to track three cars. I'm going to park a car, get in another car, park it someplace else, get in a 3rd car, also park it someplace else and need to locate all three cars? It's neat that it can track three cars, but not necessarily useful IMO. And I'd rather not support spammers myself.

Can you post a link to Car Locator? There's like 5 of them on the market and I want to get the right one.

What if you travel and rent a car? You could still remember where you parked you own car and still use this app to store the rented car's locations.

You could also use one of the three numbers to store, for instance, your favorite places (restaurants, bars...) and automatically sync them to a Google Calendar and share it with your friends.

Car Finder AR is much more functional than any other car locator-finder app in the Market. Just try the DEMO version!

Try Car Finder AR, besides de RADAR view you can also use augmented reality to find the way back to your car.

First of all, you spammer, you can do the same thing with the app I suggested and both views are on the same screen. You can also send your location to a friend or yourself or whoever and the developer of the app I suggested doesn't spam the forums.

Here's another app (free one)
Carrr Matey - Android app on AppBrain

Also, I'm a little mixed on the whole spammer thing here.

There are lots of developers that post notices about their apps in the forums. I don't see everyone getting called a spammer.

If the developer poses as someone else saying something like "wow, I just tried this new program .....", sure, that's clearly spam.

But, if they are posting as the developer and that say that, is that really a problem? I do see the slippery slope aspect of it though. Are there official forum rules on this?

The way I see it, I have no issues with a developer making a post saying, "Hey, here's my app. This is what it does. Go try it out." To me that should go in the application announcements forum, but I don't have major issues if it shows up elsewhere. This guy posted his app, topped it and kept topping it so that his post shows up on top of the page. To me that's a spammer.

I see what you are saying here. 3 bumps is spamming. Not as bad as the fakers who post saying how great an app is, but it's really the developer.

I do see plenty of app announcements in the app forum. Didn't realize there was an announcement forum (which is why they post them in the main forum, I guess)

Yeah I didn't realize it myself until I looked. I don't get too bent out of shape when developer's post announcements in the wrong forum. When they keep topping their own posts over and over to me that qualifies as spam and I will not buy their app regardless of how good it is and will encourage others to do the same.

Aloha All, I just downloaded the Car Finder AR...I know I will love it. I have been trying to find information on how to sync my location to my calendar. For some reason, though I have the calendar selected in 'settings' it is not showing up on my calendar.

As a point of interest as well, is there a way to keep my locations on my calendar each day. It serves as a reminder for a lot or reasons...like an appointment you kept, etc.

Thank you in advance for kindly considering my questions.
