So by request in the home screens thread im releasing my custom modified version of 928DroidAG.

Not alot different from 928, but enough that some people want it.
All credit goes to the origional author, I just changed the things I wanted.

You'll still have to do a custom job to get the clock to white. You can do so witht he following how-to(tested and verified. Did it myself.):

I too can confirm the white clock mod as the OP can.

Interesting for me, when it came to the step to remount the system, I could not do it with the phone booted. I recieved:

adb remount
adb remount: operation not permitted

My solution was to boot into recovery then run:

adb shell mount /system
adb push <local file path> /system/framework

Don't know if anyone has had this same issue, though this might be useful. I ran into this on the Velocity V0.1.1 ROM and on a deodexed ROM also.

Trust me I would give all credit to you, I wouldn't take credit for something that took you hours, you did an awesome job with the ROM, but since you asked not to modify your work and you are the developer I will respect that and stop all my work. I apologize.

I understand, I wont upload it, I was going to ask him for permission before uploading since its his work I had 3 colors already but I deleted everything so it doesn't go out anywhere

Wait a minute guys... What happened to the open source mentality. If you give the creator credit who cares if its uploaded somwhere else?

Trident: If people edit and repost your rom (giving you credit ofcourse) you should be happy that your work is reaching more people and that people consider your ROM good enough to build off

Having an attitude like that hurts the community by stifling creativity and growth.

How do you think linux has come so far with mostly community input

Theres a big difference between modifying the core system files to make it faster, and changing the clock color. Open source is great, but is there really a need to SPAM everything because of one tiny change? Thats why we asked him not to reupload it. Not because we are jerks.

If there are enough meaningful changes just like with my theme that were posting in the THREAD of, be my guest and upload it! But seriously.

I do see Redfurys point, in that we cant all upload a rom with just our own little custom tweak that was mostly built by trident. I do get that.

However, I also believe we need to be careful about shooting down ideas. I personally believe the clock thing is a bigger deal. I mean I don't carry a watch around, and if its got a clock on it, i wanna be able to read it. its nothing to shoot trident down about. He just didn't see it as a big deal. That's why we are different and have different ideas about things. I don't think there's anything wrong with a clock FIX, as long as the only credit he or she takes is changing the clock. I changed mine, and showed everyone what I did in the other R1L forum. I personally have tried to change the clock color, and it wasnt as easy as i thought it might be. I encourage it if someone wants to go out of their way to fix issues like this. I do think it is something that is important... I mean come on. its the notification clock. Again, its nothing to discredit tri or any developer. But this is what open source is abt. Building on someone else's idea to make it even better.

The reason why we have been so reluctant is because we are working on the next version which will include a white clock with a stock black theme.

Thats honestly the main reason we have started all of this.

Now that everything is settled, can we move on? I mean my theme thread did get derailed a while ago...

Haven't had a lot of time to work on it as I have been getting my Linux partition up and running as well as adb for testing purposes. For future knowledge, if you have an ATI card, remove your old drivers before doing a version upgrade...Massive headaches.

I'm gonna be back up and running on it probably tomorrow.

I may just remake it as it's own theme, and not a mod. I'm gonna be goign a bit overboard with it, so be ready

ha no problems there. my laptop has integrated intel, and my desktop is a Nvidia 8600
