Help connecting incredible to computer?

what steps do i need to follow to connect my phone to the computer?

i want to access my SD card.

the only disk that came with the phone is VZ access manager but when i installed it i could not locate the SD card.

Plug in the cable. You should have an option come up to either charge, sync, disk drive, or mobile broadband connect. select the disk drive option, and it will recognize and open the SD card.

I have autoplay enabled in WinXP, and i choose the option to open the folder to view files.

Then hold and drop the notification bar down while plugged into a computer. the option should be there.

While the phone is plugged into a computer via USB, open the drop down, notification bar. The option for disk drive will be there.

Does it show a small box that says "charging" or "charge" or something like that? If so, click on that.

When you plug in your phone via usb you should get this notification in your drop down:

Tap it and you should see this:

Tap Disk Drive and then Done. Then go to Computer, and then whatever disk drive it shows up as (I for me).

Did you try a battery out reset? Reboot? May have to take it into a store.

battery out, reset phone(it actually reset one time when i connected the usb cable), nothing.....

generally it just charges the phone. and thats it

the phone is charging as i see the lil "lightening bolt" on the battery icon.

but nothing at all pops up what-so-ever

It may not do it on it's own. Sometimes i have to open the drop down bar myself, and than click on the "charging" box", then it should open it.
