Waiting for my third Droid X...

So I went to Verizon yesterday and ordered my second replacement phone which will be my third X overall. The first one had a dead pixel. The second also had a dead pixel and the dead pixels in camera mode. The new one should ship out on 9/9.

It's funny because my wife and my Mother-in-Law both have no issues with their X's. Just the luck of the draw I guess.

Anyone else have to return multiple X's? I still love the phone. This won't make me give it up. I just hope the third time is a charm.;)

I returned the Droid 1 three times within the first month for proximity sensor issues before I moved on to the Droid X. My issue was that sunlight would shut off the screen while on a phone call. There was no way to turn it back on without hiding in the shade.

I have one weird pixel in the camera, but I have to really look for it and it does not show up in pictures/videos, so not letting go of this one.

Thanks Poseidon126, I am about to head to Verizon to show them some weird screen defect, this app really makes it obvious where it is in case they give me any hassle.

About a 1/32" line along the bottom of the screen, just above the hard keys, is tripping out. It just started this morning. Otherwise the screen/phone seems to function just fine. Only had it since monday :(

I have a red stuck pixel on my screen. It lasted a master wipe and multiple battery pulls so they sent me out a new phone. Well that phone was more broken then this one so now I am on my third but I still had the first so I tried jscreenfix and the weird thing is when you tap on the screen using the jscreenfix black screen to find your dead pixel my red pixel is not red......

Now I have no idea how exactly it shows up in all programs and screens except when you use jscreenfix to show all black in order find the pixel. Does this mean it's a red pixel in the software and not actually on the screen?

okay so now my third one has a ton of dust under the screen (bottom left & right corners & top left) but no dead pixels. on the phone w/ verizon right now trying to get a new one since i was technically under my 30 days when they sent my first replacement last week (which the technician rep didn't tell me; thx!). soooo the hunt for a good X continues.

edit:: so i'm receiving a new phone but it won't ship out til the 10th of sept. hope its worth the wait.

just to let you guys know, if they're sending your replacement phone within a week, it's because they're sending you a reburbished unit, which is why you're still getting junk. ask me how i know...

ill help ya

i caught them in the act trying to do that to me.

My first replacement phone took over a week to ship and it was brand new. The next phone will also be brand new. Once you're out of the 30 days all you get is a refurb.

I had 3 original droid's in a 2month span, the first one the screen quit working, the second didnt accept incoming calls, and the 3rd....I jumped in the pool with....Then I bought the DX and couldn't have been happier, I love this phone!

Hahahaha. I lost my iPhone 3G when I fell off a boat. Alcohol may have been a factor.

Not true, they tried to send me a refurb within the 30 days. Just gotta be careful about it, and argue with them. The corporate store tried to convince me the refurb was a brand new one. They lost all respect from me then.

Dumb question perhaps, but when sending back the old DX's after you get your new one, do you just put it in the original DX box (missing the UPC due to the rebate) w/ the charging stuff and manuals? And just send it back in the same box using the label they provided?

Do I have to take it to a Fedex location or will they pick it up? Thanks!
