2 quick questions. I know this sounds crazy but has anyone heard of rival cellular companies paying the other companies early termination fees for example would sprint pay for my verizon early termination fees for switching over?

Also, is the 69.99 everything plan truly unlimited everything?

Thanks in advance.

Why don't u call Sprint and ask them.I have never heard of such a thing but everything is possible.

Yes the $69.99 is unlimited except when u call a land line or a 1-800 number but for that I think they give around 450 minutes every month.Everything else is unlimited,data,SMS/Kmart,mobile to mobile(any carrier) along with sprint TV,GPS and all the sprint stuff.

Doesn't sound unlimited if there is a limit on it...

NO.. they will not pay your termination fee!

i remember there was a $100 rebate for business account transfers from other services... you have to have a business account.. if you dont know what that is.. you dont have it!!!

most of what u use.. is unlimited

not free....
international call are not free
roaming outside the states is not free
$29.99 for wifi tether app..
$10 for EVO and Epic

Not true, 99.9% is an assumption, the unlimited plan is $99.99 a month

Here we go again how is that an assumption, the only that is not unlimited is the 450 anytime minutes to call land lines, everything else is unlimited.I don't feel that I need to pay an extra $30 just to have unlimited minutes to call land lines.Who other by companies uses land line phones even my 90yr old grandma has a cell phone.

There's no need to mention that this does not include the hotspots fee, or the $10.00 extra they are charging to EVO owners because of the so called extra data.

...even my 90yr old grandma has a cell phone...

Maybe the OP's Grandmother does not have a cell phone or does not use it as her primary line.

The original question was; "is the 69.99 everything plan truly unlimited everything?"

The answer is NO.

You don't know the OP's situation, or how often s/he calls land lines, so why infer your assumptions on the matter?

No need to muddy the waters with ifs, ands, or buts, or how Sprint's plans compare to other carriers.

In many cases, paying your ETF to your current carrier will pay for itself in a few months when switching to Sprint.. then its pure savings every month thereafter.
This.

I tell this fact to people all the time, but they get so hung up on the ETF that they stick with their carrier. But even if you add the cost of a new phone and the ETF and the $10 upcharge, it would still pay for itself in a year.

I just made the switch at the end of June. I paid a $100 ETF. By next month the amount of money I'm saving with Sprint will have paid for the ETF.
With The $69.99 plan I do get unlimited text, pic and navigation which was costing me an additional $25 (approx) a month with Verizon.
Also, and this was what clinched the deal, Sprints hotspot for $29.99 is UNLIMITED and Verizon's is only 5g for $20.

You could go the same route I did. I left Verizon after finding a co-worker willing to take over my contract, my Droid, both car and desk dock for $30.

This is the easiest/hardest route to take without paying the ETF. The easy part is no ETF, the hard part is finding someone to take over the contract.

The only other route is to pay the ETF and sell the phone.

Also, not to put Sprint down or anything, you will be using your package minutes when you call and check your Voice Messages IF you use your Cell Phone, so keep that in mind. This was a bit of a SHOCK  to me when I found it out, but hey my wife and I adjusted and so can you. :)
Seriously?!? Visual Voicemail it is, then.

This is not true. All calls to Sprint systems are free of charge.

That being said, Sprint 69.99 Pretty much is unlimited for the vast majority of consumers out there.

:) The source was Sprint. That's not to say it isn't wrong though. :) But it was a Sprint rep that told me this when I called to verify some mins that was taken away from my package. I guess it would be a good idea for everyone, either way, to call Sprint to find out for sure.

EDIT: Ok, I've got an email into Sprint.com asking about this and when I get an answer, I will update this with their answer.

Ok, well I promised in my other post to come back here and share my email response from Sprint, and here it is:

Thank you for contacting Sprint.

The way voice mail works is when you call to check your messages, any
time spent on the call comes out of your anytime minutes. You have 1500
anytime minutes for each month. When you are using nights and weekends
minutes (from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am Monday to Friday and from Friday 7:00
pm to Monday 7:00 am), calling your voice mail is free. There is no
additional fee for calling your voice mail.

We value your business and appreciate the opportunity to answer your
questions. Please reply to this email or visit sprint.com if we can be
of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Carmen H
Sprint

Well, there ya go straight from the HORSES (Sprints) mouth (so to speak). This is basically what the other rep told me on the phone the first time I spoke with Sprint about the mins being deducted from my package minutes.
