Root Make Droid X faster?

Ok i just switched from my Devour To the Droid X...AMAZING CHOICE this phone is amazing but i see people with there linpack and quadrant scores and thats alot better then mine i have mine Over Clocked and Rooted is there any way to speed it up?
Also i did install froyo leak but it didnt let me use my camera and the market not working right. I just went back to my original 2.1 with the sbf Sadly the market still isent working right.

Use this to go to 2.2 correctly. You will need to be rooted and update to 2.2 already, then use this to flash a clean nandroid of 2.2 that is rooted and deodexed ---> http://androidforums.com/droid-x-al...oted-2-2-nor-will-su-cmd-cant-deodex-etc.html. You will get better quadrant scores than even overclocked 2.1. Once you get everything installed and up and running. Open build.prop in the system folder using Root Explorer. Find the build.prop file under System folder, hit "Mount R/W", long hold on the file then go all the way to the bottom of the menu that opened, select "open in text editor"... find the "stagefright=true" stuff (almost at the bottom) and change all 4 of them to false. Save it all. Then Click "Mount R/O" and then Reboot.

Your camera and market will work perfectly after this.

But playing Video recorded with it WILL NOT, you have to use Rock.

If you change your stagefright stuff back to false it all reverts back to stock player. So it will play all your video files.
