Out of curiosity I started the employment thread. For the most part, its what I expected. Although, its a tough economy. Some may not have the employment the would choose to have if given an option, some are in school, etc. So, what is your hobby?

Im a father of one perfect 7 year old daughter and I surf. Im currently enjoying both by teaching her and training for a 100 wave challenge as a mentor in a boys mentor program
(PM me if you would like to make a pledge).

If i had the time and money to spare, id still build computers. PS3 made me lose interest fairly quick.

I read... a LOT! Thank the lord for my Kindle, it's a huge space saver.

I build my own PC's. And play tech support for the majority of my friends and family.

I play MMO's (though I am not currently playing one, I stopped my Aion account about 6 months ago and my WOW account about 2 months ago).

Engage in extracurricular activities with my fiance. Use your imagination ;)

It would seem that my DINC is now a hobby in and of itself.

I go to the movies a lot, and rent even more than that.

Play with my doggies (a bichon and a chow chow).

When all else fails, I love to bake. That's about the only hobby where my "girly side" shines through. I try not to do it too much because I also love to eat the baked goods and if I do it too often I would look like a beached whale :D

*uber geek alert*

Mom of an overactive 3yr old dancing, singing, computer & DS playing girl.

I play MMO's: Currently WoW since 2005 (yes, I will be at the midnight release of the expansion). Previously EverQuest from 02-07 and randoms in between (7 major MMO's over all since 02)

I read, write, doodle a bit with photoshop (amateur), play with WordPress to build sites (decent), and play teacher to my toddler.

Other than surfing android forums, I read manga scanlations and watch anime online.

When not on the computer, I'm either on the PS3 or Wii playing some RPG based game.

*at least I warned you in advanced of my geekism*

I'm a self-employed IT Engineer so I play with computers/networks a lot. I also play in a band, father of 4 (Girl-14, Girl-13, Boy-12 and a boy-11). Involved in church, GeoCaching, Camping, Mountain Bike Riding, GOLF, College Football!!! (ROLLLLLLLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!) AND my Droid Incredible!

Other than that, nothing... ;-)

I am the father of a 18 year old girl and a 15 year old boy. My girl has graduated and starting college.

My son is in high school and plays for the high school baseball team and a travel baseball team. He is already getting major interest from D1 colleges. So I would say my hobby is baseball since that is all I seem to do. Next weekend I we will be in San Diego for a wood bat tournament.

Hopefully my hobby can help me retire early.;)

Oh Yea.........I like to play poker also when I can.

Overall computer nerd. Been in IT for 20+ years, back before Windows, back before the internet, back before e-mail. I build hardware, I write software, I overclock, I tweak, I pinch, I pull, I milk. I'm an inventor/tinker. I almost burned down my home working on a peltier cooling system for a case design.

I am an artist, and a writer. I've been published in comics (Metacops, 1990), and I've done the artwork for someone else's children's book, and will be working on my own shortly for my newborn daughter's reading enjoyment.

I am a father and step-dad to a total of 5 children, 8 fish, a dog and a cat. They eat most of my "hobby time" now. My wife gets the rest.

Every now and then I can squeeze in 15 minutes of Champions Online, Splinter Cell or Fallout. After everyone's in bed, I catch up on SCI-FI recorded over the week, like Eureka, Warehouse 13, Doctor Who, and whatnot, or Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, Master Chef, Iron Chef, or Top Chef.

Oh yeah, I am a talented cook, too.

Then there's my Incredible. Takes far too much time from everything else, rooting, modding, etc. I'm leaving it alone for awhile until there's a new batch of ROMS based on the official upgrade. Currently I use it for my radio both at work, and in the car through Slacker. It's also my default camera for pictures of my new baby on the run, and her first laugh was recorded in 720p thanks to Adrynalyne, and his audio fix for the older 2.2 roms.

I recall days, not so long ago where I would sit around trying to figure out what I'm going to do for the day. It almost doesn't seem real.
