Warning: Huge Issue With the Sprint Epic 4G

I purchased the phone today at 8:20AM CDT. It is now 1:10PM CDT and I have not gotten any work done. That's over 20% of the day already drained. All the tweaks and technology that has gone in this phone, and neither Sprint or Samsung were able to slow down time. At this rate, I won't be able to even go through a full day without not spending most of my time on the phone. I've been told that time management will be better as time goes on, but I'm worried I might need to get spare hours in a day.

Lets hope there is a firmware update soon that will help with this. I am sure my friends, family, and employers will really appreciate it.

Sent from my Sprint Epic 4g.

that takes some discipline my friend!! I'm still on a hero, but will be watching this thread closely to see if there are any true issues with the phone before i get it! I'm already dyin wanting to order one, but i'll be patient... isn't that a virtue!?:D:D:D:eek:

Exact same situation here. I called Sprint last week & had them bump up my upgrade by a couple of months, so I'm free to choose which one I want next, but after the annoyances I've dealt w/on my Hero, I want to make sure that these phones are really up to the task before deciding to stay w/an Android instead of going back to the BB.

I just don't have the free time that goes into all the nuances involved with the rooting process again in order to ensure that my battery doesn't die at lunch & I don't have nonstop lag when trying to place/answer phone calls. Nothing worse than being at the office, or in a meeting, & having your phone ring out loud until it goes to voicemail, b/c my phone lags so much I can't get it to mute.

Probably not the best place for this question, but is it possible to put digital copies of movies downloaded into iTunes on an Epic? Or is there some sort of DRM that will prevent it from playing? Not sure I'd use it that much, but I could see doing it on long trips.

Thanks,

I do not use ITunes. I asked friends of mine who do to see if we can find something out. All I know is what is in the press releases.

o Samsung Epic 4G is the first and only 4G handset to feature a video store with movies and TV available for purchase or rental and optimized for a handset screen for a HD-like entertainment experience through the Samsung Media Hub. With 4G from Sprint, users will be able to get the fastest download of a full library of video and literary content powered by some of the biggest names in entertainment.

Samsung Epic 4G will also feature Samsung’s exclusive AllShare service to wirelessly share stored music, pictures and HD video to other DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) certified™ home electronics, including HDTVs, monitors, digital cameras, printers and more.
