So how is everybody liking their new phone?

Considering I travel alot (by car.. due to my self employed business), I am simply loving the GPS or navigation system. Previous phone was Samsung Instinct, which is a mediocre phone itself and an decent GPS, this blows it wide open. I don't care really about the Mp3 or audio part of the phone as that's not why I got it, but am looking forward to watching movies too on this thing.

The car racing game (haha) included is just STUNNING. For me, a 43 year old, this device is a ipod, xbox, wii (etc) replacement. In fact, I already listed those devices online for sale.

Oh, even made a call on the Epic (haha), and sounds terrific. There isn't anything I don't like yet about it. I did make sure I bought a car charger for it. That was the only extra I really needed.

Facebook works well. Had a little trouble getting used to the mobile version, but 10 minutes later, I was good to go.

LOL. ..connect your phone to computer using the USB cable. Then pull your notification bar down. Then click USB..then the phone will ask you to mount..say yes. Your phone is now recognized by the computer.

well the screen does it for me it is true on what people on youtube say when looking at their vids that what we see on the computer screen does not do justice.

Is the game a full version or just a demo? When I was playing with the phone in the Sprint store today, it looked like it was just a demo? If so, that's kind of disappointing (considering other Galaxy S phones got the full Avatar movie on them).

Love it so far. There are things I miss about WebOS (replaced a Pre with the Epic), which is masterpiece of usability, but the number and substance of apps for Android just blows away the WebOS app market.

The screen is just STUNNING. And I really like the hardware keyboard -- reason enough to have gotten this over an EVO, which I was all set to get before this was announced (good thing no one had them in stock ).

There were many that had mentioned that about WebOS, when they got the EVO, but they quickly found apps that allowed them to gain the functions they had with WebOS. I'm sure that if you search through the other forums (aside from just the EPIC forum), you'll find apps that'll suit your needs for functions that you had on WebOS.

I came over from WinMO, so getting an Android phone was a whole different experience (even though WinMO was very customizable) simply due to it taking 1/2 the time to customize compared to WinMO.

I love the phone . . . Only been texting n web browsing as of now and wll realy crack it open later but the physical keyboard don't seem to be able to keep up or isn't responding to the inputs properly.. or maybe I'm just not used t it so I'm fcukin up . . . aside from tapping the home key thinking its back key

Loving it so far. Wish I had more time to play with it, but work is getting in the way. Like others have said, the screen is amazing. It is so speedy and lag free, compared to my HTC Tilt.

The Captivate did not come with Avatar on it.... but i wish it did.

It was the Vibrant that came with Avatar and it looked pretty sweet too!

The phone is amazing! I was one of the doubters that thought the pull-out keyboard was a waste of space, but after using it all last night I am in love! It is wider than a blackberry keyboard, but the dedicated number keys are fantastic. The space between the keys is perfect as well, not too much but not too close either.

The only complaint I have with the EPIC is the capacitative keys are not sensitive enough. You really do have to push them exactly and with a fair amount of pressure. No where near a deal breaker, but my only real issue with the device.
