hi guys, i kno this has been done to death, but i cant for the life of me get any more folders within my photo's main album, i have tried putting them on wen the phone is mounted as a hard drive, and also using astro file manager, i can get it to show the new folder on the astro hiarchy, but it doesnt appear in the actual photo folder. for such a simple thing to a) not be available from new, or b) to be a bit messy to acheive is frankly a bit redic for a fone of the desire's calibre.. Any advice greatly received on how best to get these bloomin sub-folders,
cheers

I created some folders for pictures (photos, wallpaper, icons, dock icons, contact protos, etc). I made them on my PC and copied them directly to the SD card, placing them in the root of the card, not within any other folder. The phone scanned the SD after I removed the USB cable and it found the new folders based on their content. When I open my pictures on the phone I can choose which folder to browse.

Hope this helps.

I agree that this is probably the best course of action.

Hi, is the root of the card just the top level, not really sure ofo the terminology , also, has any picture housekeeping got to be done via the pc, it seems a bit Long winded.

Yes, it's the top level. When you look at your SD card on your PC you see top level folders, just create your new folders there. Fill them only with picture files and your phone will find them and display the folder name as the Album name when you open the photo gallery.
