back up feature.

Can anybody tell me where the back up feature is on my Desire, it was under settings/Privacy.....but it's not there now.

do you have froyo 2.2?
if yes then go to your settings-search-searchable items and tick on settings
then go to your main screen and press search button and choose to search in settings and write backup and it will bring you as last option privacy setting go there and you will find your backup

I cant even find search on the main screen.

menu > settings > search > searchable items

uncheck the 'web' option (to remove it from the search otherwise you will get too many hits)

scroll down and check the 'settings' option

exit to homescreen

press the bottom right hard key (the one with the magnifying glass)

type in privacy

choose the Privacy option

check the 'backup my settings' option

p.s. don't forget to re-ceck the 'web' option for future searches
