I was rooted with 2.15 radio installed, then downgraded to stock 2.1 update 1. I left S-off when I downgraded. So, my question, has anybody with s-off received the official OTA update to 2.2 yet?
Just a quick overview:
S_OFF : security off...this isuseful because it gives yoiu a full nand unlock which is used for mainly modifications to the system while booted and is also used to flash zips from the bootloader (like the 2.15 radio, a MFGR bootloader, or a splash1)
S_ON: Security on.....it enables nand
And to the OP: why would you unroot...there are a couple of update.zips that are just rooted versions of the ota...

Are these update.zips modded versions of the official OTA? Modded versions of the 2.2 leaks were buggy and slow to me. Also, I see you're a rom dev. So, if I have s-off can i still get the official ota?

Yes, as long as you have stock recovery (I.E. no clockwork or amon ra)....and i do know for a fact that there is a regular stocki, unmodified (not rooted or rooted) versions of the ota...and then there are moddded ones (like my ROM) which do take some time to actually reach peak performance
