I recently cancelled my G1 with t-mobile because my first bill came through and there were a Few disprencies, and I attempted to call T-Mobile to get all the issues straightened out, the first *5* people I was level headed and calm, the next 3 people I basically let em have it. They are the WORST company I have ever dealt with. Well to be honest I can't even say I dealt with them because as soona s I said I had the G1 and something wrong with bill they transferred me, I had a billing issue and they even sent me to their sales department. Their customer service is absoultly horrible, they have no inkling of clue to what they are doing.

None of the people would even listen to me or bout my issue no one would help me, So yea if your thinking of getting a G1 from T-mobile, don't you will just regret it like I did now I'm sorry I ever bought the phone but hey now I have a nice paper weight because I can't even use the now defunct to use my own wi-fi. In conclusion wait till another carrier comes without android phone and totally by-pass t-mobiles horrible service, you'll be more happy you did.

double billed twice, when I set up the account they took my first payment for the first month because of advanced billing, and the rep I talked to at the time assured me first month was taken care of then I got a text message saying I owed $219 and some odd change for the bill, this was after the intinal rep I dealt with (one who took first payment and started service with) said the bill shouldn't be no more than 95 dollars, so I called in to customer service and I tried to explain to them of the issue.

several differnt replys, one was when they sent me to sales was. "I don't know why they sent you to me, I can't do a thing for you." So I believe person 7 I talked to, I asked to speak with a manager because I was totally irate by then for being transferred to so many differnt people...that one hung up on me. I then had to call back in and number 8 is the one I just told to just cancel the stupid service and I didn't want anything else to do with them. It was a major billing issue, not one of their reps was able to help me.

That does sound bad. However, that doesn't really mean that users shouldn't get a G1.

I'm sorry you had a rough time with customer service.

Well if the G1 was with any other company than T-Mobile I would agree to that statement but since that is the only company that offers the phone I stand by my previous statement.

and about the phone not working on sprint or verzion that stinks, guess its stuck at being a paper weight.

It does not look like you were double billed.
You first bill was for your regular service without the cost for your G! which is $219. Unless you paid for the G1 at the store....

The truth is AT&T is the worst cell company out there. You could have asked for a manager. You work for ATT you should know that.

"So I believe person 7 I talked to, I asked to speak with a manager because I was totally irate by then for being transferred to so many differnt people...that one hung up on me." Sad thing is I did ask for a manager, that rep hung up on me when I did that, and the intinal rep who took my payment for phone and everything said due to being on advance billing I'm taking your first months payment now and then your next bill will just have the advance payment. So according to the rep they stated my bill was taken care of..and had some t-mobile rep actually taken the time to actually talk with me, that might have been the case. However as it stands not one of them (8 reps) would talk to me.

One thing i've learned when dealing with CS is to always get a name and reference number for each person I'm talking to. That way if you are mistreated you can call back and tell them who. And when they know you're documenting their side of things they're much more likely to not mess with you. Of course I've only had good things with Tmo since the G1 (had them way back and the tmo store employees were just awful)

Wow man sorry to hear that I have been with T-mo since 03 and wouldn't consider changing.... I have had Great luck with them so far.... my step daughter had At&t and they had the WORST service.... and prior to T-mo I had sprint and they sucked... guess it all depends on the person and how things go....

I can only speak of UK T-Mobile and found them to be the most helpful provider out of all the cellular providers I have ever had the pleasure and displeasure of being tied to. Whenever I called them from a landline (which costs) they offered to call me back so I didnt have to incur any extra charges, and today I got a text message telling me how much my bill will be and when it will be taken from the bank.
