What is better a BFS or CFS kernel? And what kernel do you recommend for someone looking to get the best battery life out of his incredible. im running the stock 2.2 with a hydra ss.uv kernel right now but what do you guys recommend???? any help will be great!!! i have been reading and reading all day and cant figure out whats to do. ((><))

Some people have a personal problem with kingklick because there was a big controvercy about him stealing roms and things like that, but i think it does have more to offer than hydra (even though hydras are more than suffice)

I realy dont see much of a difference between CFS and BFS besides the benchmarks....they are wayyy better (quadrant) but do seem to lack a bit with linpack, but those are just numbers, and those numbers can be easily manipulated, so they are generally more for bragging rites....PERFORMANCE IS WHAT COUNTS, NOT NUMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But i feel BFS has been most stable, even compared to hydra.

and as for all the other features, HAVS AND AVS are great to have because they channel power in a different way, thus aiding battery life...and besides, you can overclock to 1.2ghz...that brings back some good times from moto droid days!!!

But if you really just want a bit of speed, some nice stability, and a nice undervolt, hydra is the way to go...ejhart is a reputable dev, too....

In the end, its whats best for you....kingxkenels are the ones i reccommend with all my roms, but i do heel that hydras get the job dont just fine

i dont have a custom rom installed. never really thought about going that route because i like how the stock rom looks. but do custom roms make the phone work better? (ie battery or performance) What i'm trying to get at is i want the best battery ever. right now i can get about 8 hours of "Heavy" use and still be at 30% battery. my usage is as follows. about 2 hours of web surfing and the whole 8 hours im running the music program. but im greedy and i want MORE MORE MORE!!! What set up would you recommend?

how would i go about installing a rom? same way as the kernel? what is the best set up you offer. im willing to try anything at this point.
You flash roms the same exact was as kernels.....throgh clockwork (or AMON_RA)

I would suggest these roms to you (if you want to stay close to stock):
Virtuous
jdfroyo
Frankenrom
Aiccucs
SkyRaider

And these roms if you want to have a nexus one loook and feel to youir phone's os (you cant use a kernel with these roms)

ID v.4
CM 6.1

And as i stated before king bfs is my kernel of choice...and as for themes, well, thats more of a PERSONAL prefrence

thank you sooooooo much for your input. i have a lot to think about right now but i will re post in a couple of days with what i find / do. one last question. what the heck is espresso mod and and what is a Vanilla Version?

"Vanilla" is a term used to describe the Android OS that is unskinned (without sense, motoblur, touchwiz etc) (just like the droid or nexus one)

Espresso is another name for the mytouch slide......and the espresso mod is the version of sense that phone is running...our devs at the INC forums were so nice as to port that version of sense to the inc

do you have screen shots of your rom that u made? and does it come with a custom kernel?
im cooking an update now...incredibleroms.com has some screenies of an older build of my rom, but that does show the basic look of it.....at the moment , i have a sense version located at the link in my sig ....and an updated themed vanilla coming in about 30-40 min

and you have toflash the kernel...as i have not provided one yet.
