I know the G2 is out but I am curious, the G2 is coming with stock 2.2 and it has a pretty big screen, so should I get a G2?

(I'm sticking with my vibrant, I think it looks nicer)
I second the notion.
Can't really compare the two imo. Isn't the G2 sporting a 800MHz instead of 1GHz CPU?
Yeah the screen makes it more attractive but the g2 has a great screen too(3.7 I believe) it also has a physical keyboard (which is always a plus) it also has stock 2.2( no touch wiz UI). I think I might get the G2 hopefully that is the real date because I wanna test it out myself.
No, it is running a newer 1ghz snapdragon(not the dual core though) regardless it's running stock Android so it should run faster than the Vibrant(I believerhr touch wiz UI is making the phone act and seem slower). Finally, I think the camera has flash so that might be much nicer quality then the one on the captivate and vibrant

G2 offers no advantages, the vibrant is the flagship.
why do I say that? well lets see, the vibrant ALREADY can get up to 5mbps download, do you really need 7+mbps on a phone? I mean really, do you?
Vibrant has the best screen, larger than G2. Vibrants screen size and screen sensitivity makes a physical keyboard obsolete.
g2 has a slower 800mhz processor and slower gpu, vibrant has the fastest processor out right now and a insanely fast GPU.
Vibrant has 16gb internal memory with option for external 32.
vibrant is the best phone on t-mobile, getting the g2 doesn't add up.
Plus the g2 has a keyboard, the more moving parts the more hardware issues. I love having just a screen and honestly I bet I could out type most people with a keyboard. I fly with this thing ....
800MHz Qualcomm Scorpion. As I understand it, the future dual-core Snapdragon will consist of two Scorpion cores. Talk about G2 buyer's remorse when that comes out...Isn't the G2 sporting a 800MHz instead of 1GHz CPU?
I also dislike that there are no LED notifications as well, I get an email and I have to push the lock button, if I could set the LED to a specific color(maybe built or a 3rd party app etc) I could say "Oh I have an email from my exchange account, better check it" or "Oh I have a text, I should check it later when I am done driving".
It's really something very convenient that I was extremely frustrated about.
From my understanding, it's only under-clocked at 800mhz but is more powerful than the current snapdragon and the gpu (adreno205) is supposed to be on par with the PowerXR SGX540 in the hummingbird chip-set.
Not saying it's better but the new MSM7x30 chip-set in the G2 is on par with the hummingbird.

The G2 is not out yet. Current date is Sept 26.
Pretty sure it isn't true. From my understanding, it's only under-clocked at 800mhz but is more powerful than the current snapdragon and the gpu (adreno205) is supposed to be on par with the PowerXR SGX540 in the hummingbird chip-set.
