A sad remark from a friend who I just found out has an iFail.

I randomly asked one of my friends who I haven't seen in awhile what phone he has. He's someone who's very good with computers and programming and so on but for some reason I figured he had an iPhone, which turned out to be true. I figured coming from his background he'd have at least some respect for Android, the OS that destroys iOS. Noooope... I got this remark:

"Android = shitty open source stuff you will never use
iphone = iI don't care, I jail broke it and now it's Solid Snake's Codec. So STFU!"

Typical.

I tease a guy at work about his iphone but I still dig them. Pretty much set the standard that got people interested in making fun, powerful smart phones that do more than email and spread sheets. I think anyone who loves their android phone should be thankful to apple.

I agree, if it weren't for Apple, we wouldn't have Android. What I don't like it the ignorant fanboys for Apple that don't realize Android is an amazing OS.

And yeah you're probably right, should've put it in general, it's just this is the only board I look at on these forums.

No, we'd still have Android. Google bought Android, Inc. in 2005, two years before the iPhone was released. Android would probably just be a lot different.
