Music Sound Quality 5.1?

Question, when we listen to music on our X10's through the "External Speaker (That puny little thing)" are we listening to 5.1 or something else. When we are listening to the same music via headphones (Hard wire connected), are we listening to 5.1 or something else.

I ask this, because most phones will only play 5.1 with a headset on, but they will state that. Within the last month, I used the Captivate and it stated it only played 5.1 through a headset.

So, what is the quality of the music we are listening to?

Not 5.1? Think it might class as mono. Not the best speaker in the world. But my personal opinion is that it's alot louder than the iphone

Is there a link to where it said it outputs in 5.1?

I ask as to me 5.1 means 5 speakers plus a sub woofer... I don't see how a single speaker or a standard 3.5mm stereo jack output can produce a 5.1 sound output?

Per the specs I have been able to find, it says it is Stereo Blu-tooth, so would it be stereo using the headset that came with the phone?

I mean this is an important aspect for me, so I am trying to find out before my 30 days expires..

It plays stereo through the plug and bluetooth. If you're so hung up on this you should know enough to tell the difference between mono and stereo.

True music is in stereo!
Movies you can listen in surround (5.1)
This is why the best music amplifyiers are STEREO ONLY!

If you watch a live performance (unpluged) you are gonna listen stereo, because you have 2 ears!

The thing is even though SE have made some good audio and visual phones the X10 does not carry a logo for cybershot or walkman, so no claims that the phone would be great at either can be made.

We are all test monkeys for SE as this is their first android phone, but at least it has not yet ben forgotten by SE like the Satio was.

Thats what forums should be about not flaming each other. We all have bad days and sometimes what we have in our head doesn't sound the same when typed and read by someone else.
