Root SMS Temination Denied

I am one of those that went stock and received the OTA Froyo update to 2.2. I followed the guide of the root exploit and got it working. I have Titanium backup and ROM Manager both the donate version and was trying out some ROM. I tried Fresh and FROYO Rom then went back to stock with root...or so i thought. I have been using stock with root for about a day now until i had to use SMS text messaging and it gave me an error of "SMS Termination Denied" when i clicked on the details it said SMS Error
Cause code : 98
Error Class : 3

To go back to stock you have to run the RUU. Did you remember to wipe before flashing?

Edit: I see that you are using ROM manager, meaning you have the clockworkmod recovery. I heard that it does not wipe properly. Try using Amon's RA instead.

I used ROM Manager to install Fresh and it asks for option of wipe cache and all but i think i forgot to wipe before i went to stock root. Is there any other way of recovering without going back stock?

I think i still have full root because when i tried to open an adb shell it gives me the # instead of $. Is that right?

Yea dude, don't worry you don't have to go back to stock. Use titanium backup to preserve all of your apps and settings, then wipe and reinstall the ROM that you want.
