Root quadrant scores

I installed the one click lag fix and overclocked, thanks to XDA. I know it really isn't pertinent to real world use, but I wanted to start this thread just for fun to see what different peoples quadrant scores are and the settings they have to get them. With these two mods on a Samsung Captivate Galaxy S running 2.1, the highest I've ran is a 2755. I imagine peeps running froyo or possibly some other settings with other phones will be higher. I'm interested to see what other hardware/software runs at, especially the froyo scores. Happy benchmarking!

BTW, I've seen comments on other threads saying it was possible to manipulate the test results. I haven't looked into that and I'm really not looking for that here. Just want to see what real world phones can run.

It's on the app market....but you need to be rooted first.

One thing I am confused about is this part of description...

root + Superuser - The APK includes an update.zip that will root+superuser your device. Android 2.1 does not support auto-running/recovery mode from apps, so you will have to manually enter recovery mode. Android 2.2 does support this, so it may be added in the future.

Does this mean this will root my Captivate or do I have to root it myself first then run this? Or does this just include the file that will root my Captivate and I have to boot into recovery first, root, then apply the lag fix?...

Stock JH3 with SuperRooterExtreme v1.2.1
OC to 1.2GHz, no lagfix. Highest I've gotten is 986, I'm averaging in the 975 area though. Before running SRE I was getting 805-850. I'll post a screenshot once I get ShootMe to work right!

yes thats 873 to 2105 wow and its an instant downloadable apk now search for ryansza youll finf it. Was so easy. Sacred the shit out of me at first, you have to install the ext2 tools first, then run the one click lag fix v1+ then reboot in recovery mode and just choose reboot, the phone will just make its boot sounds and u will see the att logo and hear the usual sounds but it will just sit there for like 2 minutes or so and nothing happens.....then it will progress as usual. if it doesnt yank the batter boot in recovery and hit reboot again and it will do the same thing again and just wait it out its the one click kag fix doing its thing. after it finally finished booting i reran the quadrant score and DAMN! and oh yea the phone is crazy fast.

after i used APK and killed everything last night i pulled a 2660 truly amazing....why couldnt they ship the phone this way eh?

Agreed. I was a previous iPhone 3G user so I was shocked at the performance difference. Not to mention how cumbersome the Jail breaking process was at the start. After I rooted my Captivate, I thought, "was that it?". Surprising how easy it was and how much of a difference it made.

Sadly I work for the fruit company that put that written agreement in with the sluts at ATT to ruin all phones and make a huge production out of the pos they call the iphone.

Lucky for my im only software support and dont have to deal with pissed of people who call in when they realize just how superior android really is

No you don't, it has an option for rooting, it's the first option of the app.

Scores are always higher after a fresh reboot. Run this again in a few hours after using the phone a bit and the scores will be a little lower.

the lag fixes over inflate the I/O scores. everything else is relatively the same. the phone does run more smoothly after its applied though.

I got 910 with the phone being up for over 24 hours, with about 15% battery left. This is a JH7 ROM, rooted and nothing else.

I installed the quadrant benchmark on my captivate and when it starts, it will go through the the CPU and the memory test but when it hits the file system writes it stays on 1/4 and will not do anything else. Any ideas why? I downloaded the update from att which made the gps even worse if thats possible, and it lags pretty bad also. Any info would be great.
