Help Totally Freaking Out..Please Help

EVERYTHING is FREEZING!!

I can deal with electronics getting buggy, it's part of owning them..But about half an hour ago, my Handcent icon has a green dot on it and I can't get into it. I have "forced closed, battery pull, turned off and back on" to no avail. I then went into the stock messaging app and can't do anything there either...what I see in the stock up are the phone numbers that I've sent previous texts to, but not their names..This lead me to going into the People's directory, only to find out it keeps "loading loading loading" but nothing ever loads..

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Oh and my daughter is texting me and it isn't coming through.

I'm assuming this is after ota? If so...
Factory reset
Turn the power off. If your HTC DROID Incredible is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
Hold the Volume Down button
Hold the Power button until the display turns on
You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
Press and release the Power button to select
Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO

Be sure to sync n back up.

The first thing to do, is not freak out, at the end of the day everything will be ok, and before doing a factory reset, you may want to uninstall handscent and the reinstall and see if that solves the problem.

No, I haven't even gotten the notification to update yet...The instructions given will wipe everything out, correct?? And how can I sync and back up BEFORE resetting, if the phone is frozen??

Yeah I know...so many other things to worry about..I just get into a panic bc my cell phone is my ONLY phone and I have 2 children, etc. It's a shame how much we depend on technology. I'm gonna uninstall like u suggested, but something tells me it has something to do with the People function. Now, slowly, EVERYTHING is freezing, not just handcent...If I click on my calendar widget, it does nothing either...

So frustrating.

Any help? It seems that somehow, something in 'People' is the problem.

You may need to just try and re-sync the people app.

Here is what I would do.

Hit the people app> at the bottom hit the internet icon > click on facebook > Menu > refresh.

Walk away for like 30 minutes and let FB and People refresh. I have like 500 friends so it takes a long time for it to update, but it usually fixes any bugs I get with fb and people not playing nice.

You could also go to menu > settings > Accounts & Sync > and run backup assistant. (Or just sync all).

Hopefully everything syncs up and your problems go away. If not, the people app is a stock thing and a fresh reset will definitely work.
