After a good bit of searching I would like to know what you setcpu users are using/experiencing with different governors. I'm trying "interactive" now and it seems to be snappier than "on-demand." Funny thing is I can't find much, well any concrete info on "interactive" on the web....not even the setcpu site! I used on-demand over the last day and it was very good with my profiles, but I'm going to play with interactive. How about you folks? :)

What does interactive "do"?

From what I understand which is very little (because there is almost no data out there except what people like us say it does :p), it is similar to "on-demand" but with a quicker response time aka less latency for the cpu to rev up (or down)...which I like the sound of and it seems to do just that so far.

Yeah I'm with you guys, no idea really but I've been running it today and my battery is doing exceptionally well on the new King 2. I went with interactive with a moderate 1.075 overclock, interactive at 998 when < 50% and at 768 max < 30%.

So we'll see. Been up 8.5 hrs now with moderate usage and still at 64% so I'm calling that good. Don't have accurate awake stats b/c I did some rebooting so just going off typical feel for now.

I've been running the latest version of Setcpu (not on the market) and I'm overclocked at 1075 and I'm running three profiles.

Screen off - CPU at 460
Battery less than 25% 652
Phone Temperature >40.5c at 537

My results, you guys wouldn't believe it, going on three days now and I've been using the phone daily lasting up to 14 hours without having to recharge the phone during the day, only when I go to sleep.

Example, I start work around 9am and I don't get home until 6pm...my battery was at 42%, the second day the same thing and today I used the maps (big battery drain) for around four hours, then did the usual browse, play a game, listen to music, I got home at 6:30pm and my phone was at 19%.

If anybody wants here's the a link. I found it on XDA, the original Setcpu post.

Thanks for the link. So this applies to the "interactive" governor in setcpu or this is just an explanation of interactive governors overall? Kind of a universal thing I guess?

The Governor exists inside the CPU, SetCPU just modifies a file that tells the CPU what governor to use so the info is correct for any Kernel that supports the interactive governor.
