Hi, I just bought a Zagg screen protector for my Evo, just the front, and wanted some opinions before i put it on. Would you take the Zagg back and get a different screen protector? If so, what screen protector would you get. I have one on it from the sprint store but, i like the how the Zagg covers the whole front of the phone unlike the Sprint store ones. So, what do you guys think?

Thanks, Nick

My Zagg ended up being damaged in the packaging some how so, i had to take it back to Radio Shack. They gave me a new one with out any question so, i guess i'll being putting the Zagg on tonight and trying it out.

I also ordered a Stealth Guard since it was free and only 2.85 for shipping so i will try that when i decide to get rid of the Zagg.

Any thoughts on the Stealth Guard??

Had a Zagg and took it off...well actually I had 4 Zagg's in total. Something about during the install would leave a line down the protector. After I had the last replacement installed I decided to take it off completely. Now I'm using the HTC branded screen protectors that I bought at Radio Shack...it works but I doubt I'll get a Zagg again because I didn't like it on my Evo (loved it on my iPhone 3GS).

I got this one when it was $0.99. it takes water and a little soap to install. a little scary but once installed - it is by far the best screen protector.

NEW XtremeGUARD? HTC EVO 4G Premium Screen Protector - eBay (item 230483771117 end time Sep-02-10 16:02:20 PDT)

It is $2.49 now so you decide if it is worth it.

I just went on ebay and bought the xtreme guard screen protector to try out since it went on sale and was only a $1.25 with free shipping!!

Yup I just put my new Zagg on and I like it so far. Did you have small bubbles and if you did did they go away after awhile?

with the tool they provided or with a credit card you want to smooth en out as much as the bubble's as you can. Most will evaporate after a day or so. I really liked my Zagg's on my iphones but twice after several months with it on somehow something got underneath the protector right on the middle of the phone. It was weird. I have NO IDEA how something could have made it to the middle of my screen like that under the zagg screen. On my evo i just have the sprint protector i got at the store. Like it so far no complaints at all.

I had that same thin line.Took mine off and now I am using Ghost Armour. I don't like the feel of Zagg. Had too many bubbles. I had got mine from Best Buy and they installed it. The first day it started peeling off. Took it back the next day. A week later the second Zagg started getting bubbles under it a nd that thin line. That was enough for me.

Yup those little bubbles went away but, i do have something under the protector about a cm in from the edge of the phone. Also when i was installing it i think i might have streched it a little because it looks really rippley if you look at it just right in the light. or are the Zaggs just that way? The edges of it also collect lint and fingerprints are left on it. So, I think i'm gonna have to take the Zagg off and try the stealth guard and xtreme guard when i get them. Hopefully one of the two are better than the Zagg:)

The Zagg was too rubbery to me. I couldn't get it installed without lines forming in it due to the material stretching. The feel was also very 'grippy' which was annoying for a touch screen phone.

I'm pretty happy with my Invisible Shield on the phone. Their customer service leaves plenty to be desired though. Their lifetime warranty seems to equal buy another one. After arguing for a bit I got them to give me a replacement screen film at no cost. They wanted to charge me $20 to warranty replace just the screen protector film. I paid $15 for the full body kit via mail order.

I got 2 sets of them 'free' Stealthguards and will be installing that kit on my Mom's Evo and my 'Work Phone' TP2. I'm keeping an extra Evo kit in case I don't feel like arguing with Invisible shield again. The rep also took my receipt hostage so I'll probably never get another warranty swap out of them.

A couple years back I got a bestskinsever for my ipod touch. It's still going strong and looks as good as the day I put it on...well couple of days after since it doesn't look that great until it cures. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has installed one on their EVO? My only complaint against the bestskinsever is that the plastic has a bit of an orange peel finish...you can see little dimples if you look close. But that aside it has been great...long lasting and self healing (it really works.) So I was thinking of picking one up for my EVO that's on the way. Just wondering if they were still the same quality.

It works as well as a Zagg in my opinion. I had a Zagg shield on my iPod Touch and when I got the BSE for the EVO I honestly couldn't tell the difference, besides the rediculous difference in pricing. I just ordered a Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint yesterday, hoping to get it tomorrow if anything. Heard great things about them.

The Stealth Guard is crap.
I ordered two. They came melted together. They couldn't have been used even if they weren't ruined in shipping. The cut on them wasn't deep enough to separate it from the excess material.

I would agree... crap, the screen part of it anyways. The back is fine and the sides are okish. The sides dont cover everything. I ended up ordering an Xtreme Guardz full body and im going to try the Skinomi screen guard. Also, since i took my Zagg off i'm gonna order a replacement.

Also, Has anyone tried the clarivue. Its not a wet application i was thinking it might be better.

I ordered the Steinheil Ultra Crystal off of eBay. I should be receiving it tonight. I'll report back later with results.

I ordered mine a couple days ago. From their site. It should be in by this weekend.
My sprint one got scratched and i took it off this past monday, and i had just realized how beautiful my screen was without it. On the other hand, how terrible the sprint screen protector made my screen look.

2 days later! I LOVE the Steinheil UC protector! You can't even notice that it's on my screen. You get a few fingerprint smudges on it but they are easy to wipe off and it feels like I'm touching my screen and not some piece of plastic. The screen itself is completely transparent and easy to view. I strongly recommend the Steinheil UC.

I ordered the Anti-Fingerprint screen protectors from Steinheil and let me say, by far, it is THE best screen protector I have ever used for ANY touch screen. It does add a slight haze look to the screen, but I don't mind having that in order to get rid of fingerprints. Also, the screen protector feels awesome when you put your fingers over it. It has a smooth matte type material and it's super smooth when you swipe your fingers. I highly recommend it if you don't mind losing a slight picture quality in order to have a better touch feel that isn't sticky or rubbery, but smooth. I've used ZAGG, BestSkinsEver, Xtreme Guardz (ebay), and some more, and by far Steinheil is the best I've owned.

Stay away from the Stealth Guardz, they are free for a reason. Those finally came after a week and a half and they are pieces of shit. They precut but they are positioned face down on the layer, so if anyone were to use them, when they take it out their bottom side it would attract a bunch of dust to make it unusable.

Does the stein hill protector cover up the front camera and does it cove the buttons on the bottom of the phone..thanks...I have a cleave and like it..but had a replacement phone sent to me and i m not sure what to get for it

The screen protector actually cut around the camera, so the front camera is exposed but not too much where it would scratch. This is better because I found that when the camera is covered (ala BSE), it would mess up the camera quality. It also does cover the bottom of the phone. It is an awesome precut, because it isn't too long and it isn't too short. It's short enough where if you were to screw up by laying it down too far or too short, the rest of the length will make up for it. I'll try to post pictures if possible.
