Root Any problems returning eris

OK I aven't been able to find a thread about this, so if one already exist sorry.

Ok I was wondering has anyone returned there rooted eris with a legit hardware problem (trackball not working) and verizon give you any problem about it?

And yes I know about the unrooting stuff I just want to here if anyone had any problems.

There are actually many posts on just that subject. The short story is, YMMV. Many have returned successfully, and some have had their accounts flagged as no more warranty.

I have not read any posts where anyone had any problems.
I returned my rooted eris without any problems.
In fact, the Verizon rep that played with my rooted eris had to notice the vanilla lockscreen instead of HTC's and never even asked me about it.

I would say give it a try. A hardware problem has absolutely nothing to do with your phone being rooted.

well thats what a normal person would realize but verizon doesnt see it that way ..... i do wonder for those people who have trackball issues, they may run into problems if they get a rep that wont take a rooted phone back. because i think all the unrooting methods require the trackball to navigate through the menus.
