Help Milestone 2.1 - Bluetooth Voice Dialing

Can one of you Milestone owners please tell me if you are able to use Bluetooth Voice Dialing since updating to 2.1? In other words, can you pair a BT headset, then hold or double-tap your headset button to initiate a voice call on the Milestone?

If so, how is it working? Is there software anywhere in your phone labeled 'Nuance'? Please let me know. If you could post a pic or vid of how this is working on the Milestone, that would be much appreciated.

According to Motorola, BT voice dialing was added to the Milestone in 2.1:

Nice!

I have purchased a Plantronics 925 headset and it is crystal clear. The main issue I have with it is actually caused by the Nuance software, which actually is low quality audio playback and comes across a little crackly, but voice calls are very clear.

Once in a while Nuance doesn't seem to pickup the connection properly, I can say anything and it doesn't respond, so I just have to init the connection again.

I use a Plantronics Voyager Pro earpiece.
The sound quality, battery life, comfort are all excellent BUT...

Even with version 2.1 on my Milestone, the voice dial does NOT work.
(At least it can't be started by pressing my earpiece button).

If I press Voice Dial on my phone it will work then, but that's not "hands free" if you have to fumble with a phone that may be buried in a pocket of belt case somewhere, just to make a call.

Pressing the earpiece button WILL answer an incoming call, but it won't start an outgoing call

Is there some setting I have to tweak?

Probably an incompatibility with the bluetooth stack of that device. My H12 and the Jawbone 2 both launch the BT dialer prompt when I press the bluetooth headset button (even when the phone is in sleep mode).

That's weird... was just searching the forums to find out why mine works SO poorly...

Takes about 15 seconds to load up the voice dialing app (even after overclocking my Milestone!) and at least 50% of the time it doesn't even register a voice command... it's not even misinterpreting, it just doesn't "hear" anything...

when it gets like that, I have to restart the voice dialing app...

Anyone else seeing this issue?

I'm on a TELUS Milestone using a Jawbone ICON...
