so i just got promoted to manager/lead at work, i get a company email account. Does that mean i have to upgrade to business account, the 44 dollars plan? Cause I dont wanna have to do that haha, but i guess i just won't get on to outlook with my phone if thats the case. its with outlook express.

You should be able to use the default email app that comes with the droid. Just type in your email and password. If that doesnt work you will just need an app that has M$ exchange support. I'm sure the market has some free ones.

Don't need anything from the Market.

Just go to set up an email account and put in your email server, etc. You'll need to know this info.

I'm running Outlook Web Access which is my work email on my Droid. Let me know if you need help and I'll see if I can.

Shouldn't have to unless they have an Exchange server, otherwise regular email setup should work.

Outlook Express is just another program that allows you to pull email from a server. The Droid email programs allow you to do the same thing. As long as you know the settings for incoming mail server and outgoing mail server (along with your user name and password) you are good to go.

I agree with this but disagree with the above post. Mine is through an exchange server and I can access it on my Droid. Plus you won't need to upgrade to the business account. I only pay $29 bucks. Like Barbara says you just need your incoming and outgoing settings and passwords...

I asked VZW this same question and they told me that the 29 dollar version will work just fine for most business emails as long as you don't have layers of security to get through.

i shouldnt and i get like 4 emails a day, maybe less... depends on the day... and the email acct that comes with it sucks, my hotmail hasnt uploaded for days hahah... it sucks. On that note, anyone know how to make that work?

How do you sync the Droid 2 with Microsoft Outlook Express; e.g. to get my contacts and calender in syn?

You'd need a sync solution that supports Outlook Express. I'm not sure if any do but if you search there are threads on local sync. CompanionLink is one solution that I can recall off the top of my head but I have no idea if it supports Outlook Express (doubtful IMO).
