I work for T-Mobile in Seattle Metro area, I have some great news coming from the corporate office that the G1 should get an update for Exchange Server coming around Spring Time '09. We I'm guessing the normal Email should improve around then as well. They are supoosed to release the on screen keyboard even earlier next year as well. I have no work on whether that will be just vertical or bother, but I know vertical kb is there.

I get alot of chance to talk to people that have been working with android all the time and know what is coming to the game working in a very high traffic store and also one close to corporate.

my only concern is with all the updates google is going to be making the phone will be entirley different in a good way but how much memory are we going to lose in the process.... I think before the stereo BT they need to make it so we can install to the sd card.... otherwise we will eventually have to choose between updates and apps and that is not a promising thought....

Exchange support, albeit a little limited at the moment. But this one's the first public available. What's cool is, it's only 20 bucks right now (normally 30). I've been using it for a couple days now, and while it's not perfect (we're still on an Exchange 2003 server), it's definitely a step in the right direction.

Apparently, there's also this one, but I haven't tried it.

Here's the actual link to aardvark. All 3 exchange mail clients are still in alpha or beta though and only the 2 posted above are publicly available. Kinda hard to say which one is best yet but at least 3 different companies are working on it (maybe google as well?)

I dont think it works that way. Isnt there a certain amount of ram set for Android OS? Im sure there is a large enough portion. I also doubt that they will run outta room anytime soon.
